There is a view that senior management staff should be given higher salaries than average workers. While this can be seen as unjustified on some grounds, I strongly believe companies have reasonable factors for doing so.
Nowadays, there is a huge pay gap between top leaders and average employees. This trend often creates problems when workers realize that companies' earnings are not being fairly distributed.Many warehouse workers at Amazon, for example, have recently raised concerns about low wages, despite company's massive profits.
As a result, junior staff may feel that they are not valued enough to be paid highly or may come into conflict with higher-ups.
Despite the reasons stated above, I believe that it is reasonable for companies to pay senior management staff higher salaries. Firstly, these people working in top positions usually work long hours, dedicating their time, energy, health, and even personal wealth to the company at times. Their roles in decision-making, handling issues, and managing workers are crucial to a company's long-term sustainability. Secondly, senior management staff are recruited based on strict criteria. Years of experience, leadership abilities, strategic thinking, and risk management skills are notable examples. These qualities also contribute significantly to business growth, clearly justifying their higher wages.
In conclusion, although the unfair treatment of average employees can be seen as negative, I believe that the practice of giving high salaries to top managers is justified due to their dedication and invaluable skills.
