Describe a positive change that you have made recently in your daily routine
One meaningful change I have recently made in my daily routine is setting aside time to have a conversation with myself before bed and writing down things that made me happy during the day. I realized that in this fast-paced world, I had completely neglected my inner voice. So now, every night, I take a moment to wind down, reflect on my day, and jot down at least one uplifting moment on a small piece of paper. Then, I fold the paper and drop it into a special box.
I believe this is an incredibly positive change because I’ve noticed that happy moments tend to slip away from my memory. I recently came across the fact stating that our brain naturally pushes happy experiences to the side while holding on to negative ones. When I reflected on my past, I struggled to bring to mind moments of pure happiness, even though I knew they had happened. That’s why I decided to take matters into my own hands and write them down. By the end of the year, I’ll have a box full of beautiful memories to look back on and appreciate.
To be honest, this small habit has really grown on me. It helps me focus on the good things in life instead of getting caught up in stress or worries. I feel more grateful, more mindful, and even more motivated to make the most of each day. I truly believe this simple routine will pay off in the long run, and I’d definitely encourage others to give it a go!
