Describe an important rule at school or at work.

One important rule at my workplace is that teachers must send out grading sheets to the parents' channels. This rule is very important because parents need to stay informed about their children's progress. If they do not know how their child is doing, they cannot step in to help or work on their weaknesses. These grading sheets also help teachers keep track of students' performance and spot problems early before they get out of hand.

If a teacher fails to send the grading sheets, they will get a warning from the school. Sometimes, the management will call them out in a meeting and remind them to stick to the rule. If a teacher keeps messing up, they might receive a serious warning or even face consequences. The school wants to make sure that all parents receive updates on time and that no student falls behind.

At first, I was really frustrated when I got told off for not sending the grading sheets. I thought it was just extra work, and I didn’t understand why it mattered so much. However, over time, I came to the realization that these sheets are very important. Parents appreciate knowing about their child's progress, and it helps students stay on track. Now, I always make sure to send them out on time. Even though it can be a bit of a hassle sometimes, I understand that it is for the benefit of the students. In the end, I think this rule makes perfect sense and helps create a more organized and efficient learning environment.

Describe an important rule at school or at work

One important rule at university is that students are not allowed to use their phones in class. This rule is important because phones can cause distractions and interrupt the learning process. If students keep checking their phones, they might lose focus and miss out on valuable information from the teacher. Also, they may not keep up with the lessons, which can have a negative impact on their grades. When students do not pay attention, they might struggle to catch up on their studies later and fall behind in their coursework.

If someone goes against this rule, their phone will be taken away immediately. The teacher will hold onto it until the class or even the whole day is over. This rule sends a clear message that students should respect classroom policies and take their education seriously. If a student keeps breaking the rule, the university may call up their parents or even issue a formal warning. In some cases, repeated violations could lead to serious consequences.

I have mixed feelings about this rule. On one hand, I think it is a good rule because it helps students stay focused, improve their concentration, and get the most out of their education. Without phones, there are fewer distractions, and everyone can fully engage in the lesson. On the other hand, I feel a little bad because sometimes students may need to use their phones for an emergency or to look up important information. However, I understand that this rule is meant to create a productive learning environment. In the end, I think it is fair because it helps students achieve academic success and develop good study habits.

Describe an occasion when you forgot something important.

There was a time when I forgot something very important, and it still brings back bad memories. It happened about a year ago when I forgot my friend’s birthday. I was so caught up in work and studies that I didn’t even realize what day it was. I had so much on my plate that the thought just slipped my mind.

That night, when I was about to turn in for the night, it suddenly hit me—I had completely forgotten to wish him a happy birthday! I immediately grabbed my phone to send him a message, but to my surprise, I came to know that he had already blocked me. I felt terrible. I didn’t want to leave things on bad terms, so I reached out to him on another app, but things didn’t go as planned. We stopped chatting, and our friendship slowly faded away over time.

At first, I felt really bad about forgetting such an important day. I kept beating myself up for not being a better friend. But after some time, I came to the conclusion that maybe it was meant to happen. Interestingly, this year, he remembered my birthday and sent me birthday wishes. But guess what? I forgot to wish him again! When I realized my mistake, I quickly sent him a message the next day.

This experience taught me that life moves on, and sometimes, even small things like this can put a strain on relationships. Now, I always try to set a reminder for important dates so that I don’t make the same mistake again.

Describe something you bought but returned in the end.

One day, I wanted to buy a practical gift for my friend, so I set out to get him some sports clothes that he could wear every day. Finding the right style that matched his taste was already tricky, but figuring out the correct size was even harder. We looked around different stores, asked men of a similar build to try it on, and even called up his friends to check his size. After a long back-and-forth with the seller, we finally made up our minds and went ahead with the purchase. I was so excited that I couldn’t wait to hand over the gift.

However, when I gave it to my friend, he didn’t light up as I had expected. At first, I brushed it off, thinking he was just surprised, but after I pressed him a little, he finally opened up and admitted that the clothes were too big.

Since the seller had pointed out earlier that we could bring them back, I decided to return the clothes. I went back to the store, explained the situation, and the staff gladly took them in. Instead of picking out another set of clothes, I thought it would be safer to go for shoes, as they are easier to size correctly. This time, my friend was over the moon with the gift.

Looking back, I learned a valuable lesson—when buying clothes for someone else, always double-check their size to avoid going through the hassle of returning them!

Children should take part time job in their free time or they should totally focus on their studies.

What are the advantages and disadvantages to children of doing so?

It is becoming increasingly common for youngsters to spend their leisure time working rather than prioritizing their education. While there are several advantages of this phenomenon, its downsides should not be neglected.

To start, there are some clear upsides of working as a students. Regarding, personal development, having a job enables children to be more financially educated by allowing them to feel financial burden. Once they experience the hardship of earning a living, they might stop taking financial security for granted and encourage them to manage personal budget by avoiding unnecessary purchases. As a result, they become more financially literate and secure, which can be beneficial in the long run. As for the work aspect of this decision, they can gain some experience, contributing to future job prospects. Experience they gain from working in their spare time might be one of the important factors of receiving high salary and getting a white-collar job, allowing them to be employed in a high positions. Take Google as an example, one has to have IT or marketing background in order to be employed in this company.

However, there are negative sides that should be taken into consideration as well. Firstly, starting work at an early age might reduce children's enthusiasm for education. Once they have their own income, they may prioritize their current job because they might find studying dull and unprofitable for their age, which, in turn, can result in a lack of expertise in certain fields. Another drawback of being employed at an early age is child labour. Employers might exploit young workers, as they may not be aware of their rights and, therefore, may not be able to stand up for themselves in certain situations. For example, the employers
might make them overwork and unjustly reduce their wages due to their lack of awareness, leading to both mental and physical problems, especially in the worst-case scenarios.

In conclusion, while the main advantages of spending spare time working for children are personal development and job opportunities, drawbacks range from a lack of interest in education to the exploitation of child labour.

Describe a positive change that you have made recently in your daily routine

One meaningful change I have recently made in my daily routine is setting aside time to have a conversation with myself before bed and writing down things that made me happy during the day. I realized that in this fast-paced world, I had completely neglected my inner voice. So now, every night, I take a moment to wind down, reflect on my day, and jot down at least one uplifting moment on a small piece of paper. Then, I fold the paper and drop it into a special box.

I believe this is an incredibly positive change because I’ve noticed that happy moments tend to slip away from my memory. I recently came across the fact stating that our brain naturally pushes happy experiences to the side while holding on to negative ones. When I reflected on my past, I struggled to bring to mind moments of pure happiness, even though I knew they had happened. That’s why I decided to take matters into my own hands and write them down. By the end of the year, I’ll have a box full of beautiful memories to look back on and appreciate.

To be honest, this small habit has really grown on me. It helps me focus on the good things in life instead of getting caught up in stress or worries. I feel more grateful, more mindful, and even more motivated to make the most of each day. I truly believe this simple routine will pay off in the long run, and I’d definitely encourage others to give it a go!

Occasionally, for many years, and sometimes even throughout our lives, we experience a sense that something is missing. Even after achieving what we desire, we often find ourselves feeling dissatisfied again. Some might argue that this is simply human nature—a tendency to live in ambiguity. However, this is not something we should tolerate. We must confront our dissatisfaction with gratitude, as Tolstoy expressed:

"I may not have everything I love, but I love everything I have."

Describe a place in the village you visited.

Last summer, we embarked on a journey to a secluded village nestled in the heart of the mountains in Samarkand, one of the most scenic and culturally rich regions of Uzbekistan. This place was truly extraordinary, as it was home to an ancient mosque and a sacred spring with curing water that locals believe has healing properties. The mosque, with its intricate carvings and centuries-old architecture, stood as a remarkable piece of history. Walking through its quiet, reverent halls, I felt a strong connection to the past.

The journey itself was an adventure. The winding, uneven roads made travel a bit challenging, but the stunning landscapes along the way made it all worthwhile. Towering mountains, dense greenery, and a crystal-clear blue sky created a picture-perfect view. Upon arrival, the village felt warm and inviting, with friendly locals greeting us with genuine hospitality.

Visiting the mosque was a spiritually uplifting experience. The tranquil atmosphere inside made me feel at peace. After that, we went to the healing spring, where many people were drinking the water or washing their faces, believing in its restorative powers. I tasted the water myself—it was cool, pure, and refreshing.

I felt a deep sense of serenity and gratitude in this place. Being surrounded by nature, history, and kind-hearted people was truly a soul-nourishing experience. Looking back, I would love to return. This village is a hidden paradise for anyone seeking peace, cultural richness, and natural beauty.

You are also part of someone else's story. You have influenced someone in a meaningful way and left a mark on their heart. Perhaps you listened at just the right moment and offered sound advice. Maybe you spoke of a person's beauty when they were filled with self-hatred. Perhaps you befriended someone during their darkest hour or when they felt utterly alone. You are a part of someone else's narrative: someone remembers your laughter, your appearance in detail, your manner of speaking, your habits, and your tastes. Someone has seen you joyful, broken, or in love.

It's strange to realize this, but it's also incredibly beautiful.

Describe an occasion when the vehicle you took broke down in your travel

I can clearly remember one of the most terrifying moments when the vehicle I was in broke down. It happened about two and a half years ago when I was traveling to a volunteer campaign event in the mountains. Enthusiastic teenagers and dedicated members of the organization from all over the country had gathered for this meaningful event, and we were all excited for the adventure ahead.

As we were making our way up the steep, winding mountain road, our car suddenly came to a halt with a strange noise. At first, we didn’t take it too seriously and kept laughing and chatting, enjoying the breathtaking views around us. However, after a few minutes, my curiosity got the better of me, and I decided to take a look at the back of the vehicle. To my absolute horror, thick black smoke was billowing out from the engine. My heart started racing, and panic set in because we were already at a high altitude, far from civilization, with no mobile signal to call for help.

The driver, who thankfully remained calm under pressure, quickly got out to assess the situation. We all anxiously gathered around as he inspected the engine. Fortunately, it wasn’t a major mechanical failure—it was just an overheated engine. He skillfully poured water to cool it down and restarted the car after about 20 minutes.

Even though the delay was brief, the incident left a lasting impression on me. I realized how unpredictable road trips can be, especially in remote locations. Since then, I always double-check the condition of any vehicle before setting off on a journey. It was a nerve-wracking yet valuable lesson that taught me the importance of preparation and staying calm in unexpected situations!

Describe an area of science that interests you

Astronomy has always been a science that captivates me. Ever since I was a child, I have been fascinated by the mysteries of the universe. I still have vivid memories of summer nights at my grandparents’ village, where we would sleep outdoors. My cousins and I would lie on our backs, gazing up at the vast, star-filled sky, trying to count the countless twinkling stars. That magical experience sparked my curiosity about space and everything beyond our planet.

At one point, I attempted to study astronomy seriously, but to be honest, I found it too mentally draining. The complex equations, astronomical measurements, and in-depth physics were overwhelming. So, instead of diving deep into the technical side, I decided to gain a fundamental understanding of the subject. I focused on learning the basics—how stars are born and die, the fascinating features of planets, and most importantly, how to operate a telescope to observe celestial objects. This way, I could still nurture my passion without feeling frustrated.

What makes astronomy so intriguing is that it helps us comprehend our place in the vast cosmos. The idea that there are billions of galaxies, each containing trillions of stars and planets, is simply mind-blowing! Plus, I have a little dream—I’m on a personal quest to search for extraterrestrial life! Of course, I know it sounds far-fetched, but scanning the night sky through a telescope and imagining the possibilities is thrilling. Who knows? Maybe one day, humanity will discover intelligent life beyond Earth!

Describe Your Grandparents’ Job

My mother’s parents were both dedicated teachers. They pursued their studies in Belgrade where they fell in love and decided to settle down in the 1980s. Once they graduated, they moved back to their hometown and took up teaching positions at a local school. Teaching wasn’t just a way to earn a living for them, it was their true calling. They strongly believed that education could shape young minds and open doors to a better future, so they put their heart and soul into their work.

Apart from teaching, my grandparents were also deeply involved in social activism. They stood up for better education policies and worked tirelessly to improve the school system. Over time, their hard work paid off as my grandfather was promoted to principal and my grandmother stepped into the role of assistant principal. They came up with new teaching techniques, pushed for better resources, and brought about positive changes in their school. Thanks to their dedication, many students got a chance to receive a better education.

To be honest, teaching runs in our family. My great-grandparents were teachers, my grandparents followed in their footsteps, and my mother has been a teacher as well. I have also stepped into the same profession and their experience has helped me get ahead in my career. I truly look up to my grandparents and admire their professionalism. One day I hope to build on their legacy and take my teaching skills to the next level. For us, teaching isn’t just a job, it is a lifelong passion.

Describe an Energetic Person I Know

The most energetic person I know is my mom. She is always on the go, but she never seems to run out of steam. I have known her, of course, since I was born, and she has always been full of life and enthusiasm.

My mom wears many hats—she is a university teacher, a psychologist, a social activist, and a blogger. She goes the extra mile to help people in need. If someone has a problem, she lends a helping hand and gives thoughtful advice. She also takes part in charity events and works tirelessly to support those who are struggling. Sometimes, I wonder how she manages to juggle so many responsibilities! She wakes up at the crack of dawn, works hard all day, and still finds time to bond with family and friends.

What makes her even more special is that she never complains or throws in the towel. Even when she is exhausted, she keeps smiling and radiates positivity. She firmly believes that hard work and kindness can move mountains. She also has a thirst for knowledge and is always eager to learn new things and improve herself.

I truly admire her because she never backs down from a challenge. She is like a real-life superhero. Her positive energy is contagious, and she always pushes me to be the best version of myself. Whenever I feel tired or lazy, I think of her, and I instantly feel motivated.

I am incredibly proud of my mom. She has taught me that life is not just about working hard but also about making a difference and staying optimistic. I hope that one day, I can follow in her footsteps and be as energetic and kind as she is.

Describe an important decision that you have once made.

One of the most important decisions I have ever made was choosing between two universities in Tashkent and Bukhara. After giving it a lot of careful thought, I decided to stay in Bukhara. It was a tough choice because both options had their own advantages and disadvantages. I made this decision by weighing up the pros and cons of each option and taking into account what mattered most to me—staying close to my family or stepping out of my comfort zone to seize new opportunities.

The results of this decision were a mix of happiness and disappointment. On the one hand, I felt a bit let down when I came across my friends’ social media posts. They were making the most of student life in Tashkent, meeting new people, and creating lifelong memories. It made me question whether I had made the right choice. On the other hand, I felt truly content because I stayed close to my family, which plays a vital role in my life. I also had the opportunity to pursue my passions, achieve significant personal milestones, and gain hands-on experience in my field. Staying in Bukhara allowed me to get involved in local projects, expand my skill set, and establish meaningful connections within my community.

This decision was particularly challenging because I was torn between chasing my dream and dealing with my fear. My dream was to explore life in a big city, broaden my horizons, and develop a new network. However, I was worried about stepping into the unknown, being far from my family, and starting everything from scratch. In the end, I trusted my instincts, achieved a great deal, and learned to value the opportunities that staying in Bukhara brought me.

Describe a foreign country you would like to visit in the future.

One country I’ve always dreamed of visiting is Egypt. Situated in North Africa, Egypt is a land of ancient wonders, vibrant culture, and stunning landscapes. It’s one of those places that feels like it’s straight out of a storybook, with the pyramids, the Nile River, and so much more to explore. Egypt has an irresistible charm that pulls me in every time I think about it.

My fascination with Egypt began when I was a child. I remember flipping through history books, wide-eyed at the pictures of massive pyramids, golden treasures, and mysterious hieroglyphics. Then, I started watching documentaries about the pharaohs and their grand monuments, which seemed almost magical. As I got older, I started following travel blogs and videos, where people shared their experiences exploring the bustling streets of Cairo, sailing on the Nile, and snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters of the Red Sea. Every story I hear makes Egypt feel more like a must-visit destination.

What excites me most about Egypt is its extraordinary history. The pyramids are one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and I can’t imagine the awe of standing before such monumental structures built thousands of years ago. I’d love to explore temples like Abu Simbel and Karnak, and learn more about the lives of the ancient Egyptians. Beyond the history, I’m drawn to Egypt’s lively culture, such as its traditional music, bustling souks, and, of course, the mouthwatering food. I can’t wait to try dishes like koshari, falafel, and basbousa.

Egypt also offers incredible natural beauty. Taking a peaceful boat ride on the Nile, watching the sunset over the desert, or diving into the Red Sea’s colorful coral reefs sounds like a dream. Visiting Egypt wouldn’t just be a trip; it’d be like stepping into another world. I can’t wait to go someday.
