The bar chart compares six parts of the world where their citizens migrate to Australia in 1987 and 1997. Units are measured in numbers. ( I’m not sure )
Overall, in both years, the highest number of migrants came from Europe, the opposite was true for North/South America. Of particular note is Europe where nearly a third of all migrants came from this place in 1987.
In terms of migration to Australia in 1987, Europeans took the lead with 30 people, closely followed by the Rest of Asia, with nearly 22 migrants. Interestingly, an equal number of people (15) who lived in the Middle East Africa, and North East Asia migrated to Australia in the year of 1987. North/South America was a place where only about 6 citizens came to Australia this year.
Concerning the migration rate that occurred in 1997, like in 1987, the highest number of migrants who visited Australia was Europeans with approximately 27 people in 1997, the figures for North East Asia and Oceania were about 24 and 22 migrants respectively.
