TASK 1 - BAR GRAPH
The provided graph compares the statistics of Southland’s primary exports in 2000, 2024 and gives predictions for 2025.
Overall, what stands out is that International tourism dominated the chart in 2000, followed by Diary products, while Southland exported Meat products the least. Whereas Diary products and International tourism are reported to bring the most income in this year, Meat products show the lowest index. It is noteworthy that whereas both Diary and Meat products are projected to be exported less in 2025, the reverse can be predicted for International tourism.
Looking at the international tourism first, it is evident that despite generating just over 8 billion euros in 2000, it now brings in more money at just below 9 billion. Following a similar trend, the projections indicate that it will reach a peak of almost 10 billion in 2025.
Turning to the Dairy products, its export rate stood at 7 billion euros in 2000, after which it has skyrocketed to its peak at 10 billion by now. In contrast, a minimal decline of 500.000 euros is expected by 2025.
When it comes to the least sold item, Meat, it was sold for 6 billion euros in 2000, but has experienced an insignificant fall to around 5.5 billion by this year. It is, however, projected to hit its lowest point at 5 billion by 2025.
