📜Few think the primary goal of educational institutions is to mold young learners into responsible members of society and productive employees rather than nurturing them as unique individuals has become a prevalent issue today. To some extent, I acknowledge the viewpoint that fostering personal development is crucial; however, I predominantly agree with the belief that the main objective of schools is to prepare students for societal and professional roles. The primary purpose of this monograph is to illustrate my stance with relevant examples.
✍Body Paragraph 1: 70% main opinion: Beginning with my main argument, the first key point is that shaping pupils into law-abiding citizens is essential for societal stability. Due to the structured environment of learning institutions, they teach discipline, respect for rules, and community values, which results in a harmonious society. To exemplify, in Japan, schools emphasize group activities and civic responsibilities, which has led to a culture where respect for others and social harmony are deeply ingrained. Another important justification is that preparing students for the workforce is a critical function. As educational systems focus on skills like problem-solving and teamwork, it leads to the development of competent professionals who can contribute effectively to the economy.
📜Body Paragraph 2: 30% minor side opposite side Exploring the minor viewpoint, one noteworthy argument is that academic institutions should mainly focus on personal growth and creativity rather than solely producing compliant workers or citizens. Rather than prioritizing vocational training, focusing on fostering creativity and critical thinking can result in more innovative and fulfilled individuals. Due to this, a holistic approach in education is needed to benefit young learners beyond just their societal roles.
✍In conclusion, although some believe that educational systems should prioritize individual development, I am largely in favor of the idea that they should primarily focus on turning tutees into responsible citizens and skilled professionals due to the societal stability it fosters and the essential workforce skills it imparts.
