The line graph details the information about the shift in cities regarding the number of global conferences they hosted over the span of 45 years starting in 1965.
Overall, city C organized more conferences than cities A and B at the end, despite standing initially as the lowest figure among them. It is particularly noteworthy that city A experienced significant fluctuations over the years ending with fewer hosted events, while it was city B whose rate decreased gradually during that period.
In 1965, city A was a leading figure with hosting 35 conferences a year, closely followed by city B, where about 31 international meetings were held at that time. Meanwhile, city C did not host any global events in that year before showing a dramatic rise. During the next decade, the number of meetings held by city A declined rapidly to 20 before recovering to 30 until 1985, whereas around 28 events were hosted by city B in the year 1985, experiencing only a slight decline in the last 20 years.
In contrast to the cities A and B, city C witnessed a rapid growth in the rate of internationally hosted events reaching approximately 27 in 1995. In the meantime, there had been no significant changes in the number of those conferences held by city A by 2005 with the exception of a dip to 26 in 1995. In the final year, city C held nearly 30 global conferences after experiencing a drop to 24 in 2005. By contrast, cities A and B maintained a downward trend in the number of worldwide conferences hosted until 2010, organizing 20 and 25 meetings, respectively.
