Overall, the island, which used to be a more intact place specialized in scientific research, has become more recreational with the development of leisure facilities at the expense of trees and wasteland while the only unchanged features were the natural spring and rocks to the North. Plus, the infrastructure and transportation improved with the introduction of a new cycling project and more advanced transportation and the expansion of the harbor to the West.
