Describe Your Grandparents’ Job
My mother’s parents were both dedicated teachers. They pursued their studies in Belgrade where they fell in love and decided to settle down in the 1980s. Once they graduated, they moved back to their hometown and took up teaching positions at a local school. Teaching wasn’t just a way to earn a living for them, it was their true calling. They strongly believed that education could shape young minds and open doors to a better future, so they put their heart and soul into their work.
Apart from teaching, my grandparents were also deeply involved in social activism. They stood up for better education policies and worked tirelessly to improve the school system. Over time, their hard work paid off as my grandfather was promoted to principal and my grandmother stepped into the role of assistant principal. They came up with new teaching techniques, pushed for better resources, and brought about positive changes in their school. Thanks to their dedication, many students got a chance to receive a better education.
To be honest, teaching runs in our family. My great-grandparents were teachers, my grandparents followed in their footsteps, and my mother has been a teacher as well. I have also stepped into the same profession and their experience has helped me get ahead in my career. I truly look up to my grandparents and admire their professionalism. One day I hope to build on their legacy and take my teaching skills to the next level. For us, teaching isn’t just a job, it is a lifelong passion.
