Mass layoffs of electricians are expected in seven regions of Russia due to the introduction of automated drones for servicing power grids. These devices replace three to five teams, remove ice, apply protective compounds and operate at -35 °C, servicing up to 12 km of wires per day. 20 drones have already been released, which are actively used in the northern regions and the territory of Perm , and their geography continues to expand.
