Fourth Year Dental School Students at Central Asian University win 1st prize and a grant for the best research proposal by the World Health Organization 🏆🎉
Dental School Students Zilola Kadirova, Mokhinur Khudoykulova & Yoqut Mirzaakhmedova supervised by Professor Riddhi Chawla presented their research proposal, “The Impact of Antibiotic Misuse on Oral Health" in Anti-Microbial Resistance Conference by World Health Organization at Westminster University, Tashkent.
Dr. Jasur Babajanov, Faculty, School of Dentistry, was invited as a jury in this esteemed event by the World Health Organization and also played a key role in organization of this conference.
The aim of the student's study was to investigate how self-medicated antibiotic use affects oral microbiota, enamel integrity, and periodontal health. This study provided valuable insights into the long-term consequences of antibiotic misuse and contribute to better public health strategies in Uzbekistan.
Central Asian University looks forward to conducting meaningful research that supports global efforts in antimicrobial resistance awareness and prevention in Uzbekistan and worldwide.
