Hiroshima Museum Recognized as “The World’s Most Beautiful”🎆
Designed by renowned architect Shigeru Ban and facing the Seto Inland Sea, the Shimose Art Museum has been named “the world’s most beautiful museum” by UNESCO.
This recognition follows UNESCO’s decision to award the museum the Versailles Architecture Prize in December 2024.
The museum features eight movable gallery spaces, each shaped like a colorful box, appearing to float above a shallow reflecting pool.
