BAND 7️⃣.0️⃣ SAMPLE
The provided linegragh compares the amount of air pollutants streaming from various sources between 1990 and 2005.
Overall, what stands out is that whereas there was a decline in the amount of toxins caused by Industry and Household, the former registering a more considerable fall, throughout the hiven period, the reverse could be said about that of Transport. Of particular note is that the biggest contributor to air pollution was always Industry section followed by transport and Households. It is also noteworthy that total pollutant numbers almost halved during this 15-year period.
Looking at the only upward trend, Transport first its pollutant figures stood at below 1 million tonnes in 1990, after which it showed a slight growth within the following 6 years before dropping insignificantly by 1990. However, from 1999 onwards, it started to recover as it witnessed a slow, but constant increase until 2005.
Turning to the downward trends, approximately 5,5 million tonnes of contaminants were produced from Industries in 1990. That number plummeted to about 3 million by 1996, which was followed by a continuous decrease, hitting its lowest point at 2 million tonnes in 2005. With regard to Households their impact was extremely minimal even in 1990 at only 1 million. Although there were some fluctuations over the years, the amount of pollutants Households produced diminished exponentially, hitting its rock bottom at mere 100.000 by 2005.
In terms of total amount of air pollutants, it can be seen that there was a steady decrease. But it first went down sharply from 7 million in 1990 to 4 million in 1999 and then to just below 3,5 million in the final year.
