Application for the Essay Program is open!

After a successful completion of the first edition, I am happy to announce that application for the second cohort of the Essay Program is open!

Students of the first cohort have been admitted to NYU Abu Dhabi (2X, Full-Ride), HKU (Full-Tuition), PolyUHK (2X, Full-Ride), Amherst College (Full-Ride), Georgetown Qatar (Full-Ride), and Carnegie Mellon Qatar (Full-Ride).

You've mastered the numbers: exceptional SAT scores, outstanding GPA, impressive IELTS results. Your achievements speak a lot about your dedication and capability.

But here's the challenge: The personal statement is the one component where pure academic excellence isn't enough. It's where admissions officers seek the
person behind the percentiles.

Introducing my Essay Program – a carefully structured program that moves you from numbers (SAT, Honors) to compelling personal narrative.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗜𝘀 𝗗𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁:
• Progressive Methodology: From academic foundations to personal storytelling
• Small Group Dynamics: Limited to 15 exceptional students
• Proven Track Record: My past students have gained admission to Amherst (2), NYU Abu Dhabi (2), HKU, Columbia, Harvard, GU-Q, CMU-Q.
• Personalized Attention: Individual consultations to work on your Supplemental Essays and Personal Statement
• Peer Learning: You'll collaborate with equally accomplished peers

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲:
1. Foundations in Academic Writing
2. Research & Critical Analysis
3. Narrative Techniques & Personal Voice
4. Story Architecture & Personal and Communal Impact
5. Individual Consultations
6. Final Refinement & Polish

𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆:
• GPA: 4.85+
• IELTS: 7.0+
• Minimum 2 significant honors/activities

After years of helping my friends and students gain admission to top universities, I've observed that exceptional achievements, such as high SAT and olympiads, alone aren't enough. Personal Statement and Supplemental Essays is where equally qualified candidates diverge. This program will give you a voice in your essays that is rich in authenticity, scholarship, and identity.

trust issues occur not because they're bad, but because you've allowed them to be bad. you've created your vulnerable spots by letting them get so close that they can identify your achilles heel.

and why were you so open? because you are trustworthy. you don't expect close people to hurt you because you wouldn't hurt your close people.

when students in starbucks leave their entire net worth — mac and iphone — and go out for hours without worrying if someone would steal, it's because those students themselves wouldn't steal.

this is how things ought to work, but not how things actually work. a beautiful thing about life is you can learn and adjust your behavior to the harsh realities.

after enough challenges, you formulate trust issues, and it's okay, it's part of life.

Diyorbek’s notes dan repost
Good part of the day everyone!

We are working on a documentary film and research paper associated with University of Toronto x Columbia University about Uzbekistan and youth between May 15 to June 7.

I need 15-20 people to conduct interviews in different parts of Uzbekistan, no matter in what language and in what region of Uzbekistan. Only thing I incapable of doing is I cannot work with anyone under 15 years old according ethical rules that we were given by both universities.

I need people in different sectors:

1. Young people—any one of you guys are more than welcome to be part of our project if you want to.
2. School administrators in both public and private sectors
3. People who work in government sector for more than 5 years.
4. Students who got into Top universities or are studying right now at certain university
5. Anyone that we will be good example to represent an Uzbekistan citizen to the world.
6. People who can help with logistical issues in different parts of Uzbekistan, including Tashkent and Tashkent region.

If anyone has contacts with such people or willing to take part in themselves are welcome to reach me out at @diyorbeknomozovv ; just one reminder that your message has to include brief information about yourself or person you are suggesting and how can you help us with research.

We can provide certificates and letters of appreciation by University of Toronto and Columbia University for anyone who will be helping us during our research.

I left hong kong one more time.

Long hours of work on college applications and college final exams since last october till mid-january had a toll on me. I've still been struggling to recover. Since I am a marathon runner, I had a wrong belief that burn out doesn't exist — especially when I'm young.

However, these super unproductive 3 months has convinced me working in marathon-style (long-hours for long periods) without breaks wears you out. Instead, I should adopt a more sprinter approach. Working intensively for 2-3 weeks, 2-3 days of rest (travel & sleep) and going back offers a more sustainable and efficient tone.

Despite having lots of people to respond to in dms, meetings, school assignments, and need for sleep, today I traveled to Macau to rest. While it cost me a lot in terms of responsibilities missed (I hate missing meetings and all my responsibilities), it was a refreshing day filled with deep conversations, exposure to art and fashion. I now feel fresh and ready to start preparing for final exams, and to work on admissions-related projects for Summer.

If you feel stuck and unproductive, I'd recommend taking a friend and traveling. You don't need fancy flight and hotel. It can be a trip as short as to a new region. The point is to forget everything, be off the phone, and enjoy the moment.

p.s: i finally smiled for a pic!
i'll check all dms by wednesday night!
