📉The British Embassy’s Commercial Section, part of the UK Government’s Department of Business and Trade (DBT), is seeking to recruit a Market Access and Trade Policy Advisor. The successful candidate will contribute to the UK’s prosperity by working in an expanded DBT commercial team in the Embassy, contributing to the enhancement of the bilateral trade and investment relations between the UK and Uzbekistan.
📝 Responsibilities include:
👨💻lead on market access issues in a rapidly changing and reforming economy utilising their knowledge of the current policy and regulatory framework.
🌎 support British companies entering the market.
🤝liaise with UK companies and Uzbek stakeholders to identify and resolve market access issues and develop policy to enhance opportunities for UK exports.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
🗣 Fluency at C1 level in English and Russian and knowledge of Uzbek, verbal and written, with excellent communications skills;
✍️ At least one year professional work experience in relevant area, preferably with exposure to policy making, business development, or legislation.
🇺🇿An extensive knowledge and understanding of the business environment in Uzbekistan, including Uzbek Government structure and policy.
