Türkiye to Host the World Kurash Championship

🇹🇷The development of Kurash in Türkiye is entering a new phase. This week in Türkiye has been full of Kurash related events, a national seminar for Kurash coaches and referees, competition, qualification of refereees and coaches, and most important a meeting to discuss the preparatory steps to host the IKA’s main event of the year - Senior World Kurash Championships, Congress and DC meeting in Sakarya Türkiye.

❗️The weeklong events have been organized by the International Kurash Association (IKA), the International Kurash Institute, and the Turkish Kurash Federation.

🔰IKA General Secretary Mohammad Reza Nassiri, IKA Head of Administration Mansur Mirzaev, International Kurash Institute expert Olim Ravshanov, Türkiye Kurash Federation members and over 50 Kurash referees and coaches were among the active participants.
During the event, training sessions are conducted for referees and coaches, providing them with insights into International standards and rules.

📌Initial discussions were held regarding the hosting of the World Senior Kurash Championship in Sakarya Türkiye . IKA representatives provided the Turkish side with information about the requirements and criteria for hosting the championship.
Türkiye is considered a strong candidate to host the championship thanks to its sports infrastructure, experience in organizing International competitions, and geographical location. According to Furkan Goltas, President of the Turkish Kurash Federation, interest in Kurash is growing in Türkiye, and hosting this championship would further contribute to the sport’s popularity.

♻️At the end of the seminar, participants had the opportunity to test their knowledge in practice. The performances of the seminar participants who refereed at the national championship competitions were evaluated by experts. The participants who showed the highest results were awarded 1-star referee certificates and coaching licenses from the International Kurash Association.

IKA coaching and refereeing exams have started in Mersin

🇹🇷Referee Exams for “1-Star” level and International Coaching “B” Licence Exams on Kurash are being held by the International Kurash Association (IKA) in Mersin, Turkey. The event started with theoretical and practical seminars in the conference hall of SWISS INN HOTEL in Mersin.
About 50 referees and coaches have been participating in the seminar. They had the opportunity to develop their skills based on theoretical rules and practical trainings.
❗️In the first half of the day, IKA General Secretary Mohammad Reza Nassiri gave a presentation on the theoretical foundations, rules, techniques of “usul”s and tactics of Kurash. During the seminar, spiritual and technical aspects of Kurash were covered in detail.
In the afternoon, the seminar continued with practical trainings. The trainings were conducted by Olim Ravshanov, an expert of the International Kurash Institute. He provided a special video guide and practical instructions on Kurash “usul”s.
📌The participants were divided into 7 groups and performed 56 basic Kurash “usul”s and refereeing procedures in competitions on Kurash gilam. This process served as a significant platform for improving refereeing skills and strengthening the competence of coaches.

В Мерсине стартовали экзамены тренеров и судей IKA

🇹🇷Экзамены судей на уровень «1 звезда» и международные экзамены на получение тренерской лицензии «B» по Кураш проводит Международная Ассоциация Кураш (IKA) в Мерсине, Турция. Мероприятие началось с теоретических и практических семинаров в конференц-зале отеля SWISS INN в Мерсине.
В семинаре приняли участие около 50 судей и тренеров. Они имели возможность развивать свои навыки на основе теоретических правил и практических занятий.
❗️В первой половине дня Генеральный Секретарь IKA Мохаммад Реза Нассири выступил с докладом о теоретических основах, правилах, технике «Усул» и тактике Кураш. В ходе семинара были подробно освещены духовные и технические аспекты Кураш.
Во второй половине дня семинар продолжился практическими занятиями. Занятия проводил Олим Равшанов, эксперт Международного Института Кураш. Он предоставил специальное видеоруководство и практические инструкции по Кураш-усулам.
📌Участники были разделены на 7 групп и выполнили 56 основных Кураш-усулов и судейских процедур на соревнованиях на Кураш-гилам. Этот процесс послужил важной платформой для улучшения судейских навыков и повышения компетентности тренеров.

IKA announces competition calendar for 2025

🔰A number of major and prestigious International competitions, seminars and other events are planned for Kurash enthusiasts this year.

❗️The 2025 calendar includes a total of around 40 International events, among which the following are of particular importance:
– Four Continental Championships: continental competitions held in the Asian, European, African and Pan-American regions;
– International tournaments for the prize of the President of Republic of Uzbekistan: These tournaments, which occupy a special place in the history of Kurash, gather the strongest athletes in one arena;
– International seminars: a series of training programs aimed at popularizing the rules of Kurash, improving refereeing and coaching skills.

📌The calendar also reflects the examinations which will be held within the framework of the “Road to Asian Games” program, with detailed information about the exact dates of the events and the organizing countries. This program is an important step in the preparation for the 2026 Asian Games.

🔰Для любителей Кураш в этом году запланирован ряд крупныхи престижных международных соревнований, семинаров и других мероприятий.

❗️Календарь 2025 года включает в себя в общей сложности около 40 международных мероприятий, среди которых особое значение имеют следующие:
— Четыре континентальных чемпионата: континентальные соревнования, проводимые в азиатском, европейском, африканском и панамериканском регионах;
— Международные турниры на приз Президента Республики Узбекистан: эти турниры, занимающие особое место в истории Кураш, собирают на одной арене сильнейших спортсменов;
— Международные семинары: серия обучающих программ, направленных на популяризацию правил Кураш, повышение судейского и тренерского мастерства.

📌В календаре также отражены экзамены, которые пройдут в рамках программы «Дорога к Азиатским играм», с подробной информацией о точных датах проведения мероприятий и странах-организаторах. Данная программа является важным этапом в подготовке к Азиатским играм 2026 года.
