SAMPLE TASK TWO ESSAY

Nowadays, many universities offer courses via the internet. While online education can sometimes be beneficial, I firmly believe that it is more likely to be detrimental overall.

It is true that people can benefit from online education in various ways. The key benefit would be lower costs. Online learning helps us to save money by staying at home instead of paying for transport, books and snacks in the traditional learning. Another important benefit of online education is flexibility. Many students need to balance their study and work and an online program allows students to do so. If they miss any lesson due to their work, they will be able to compensate it in another suitable time in online teaching.

However, I would argue that drawbacks of online learning for students are more significant in comparison. Firstly, distractions at home are legitimate concerns for any online student. Students can easily lose focus and start using social media sites, games and other applications that don’t contribute to the desired goal, which is learning. Your family members may also distract you by asking for something like helping them do house chores or going to the shop. Furthermore, extended screen time would be dangerous. Online education is becoming one of the leading reasons for increased screen time. Staring at bright screens for a long time can induce several health-related problems poor eyesight, joint pain and obesity. A case in point is that after changing their education to online, some of my course mates became overweight due to sitting in one place for long and not moving around much.

In conclusion, it seems to me that the major problems of online study for students, such as the distractions and potential health issues, far exceed the minor benefits like reduced costs as well as flexibility.

TASK TWO SAMPLE ADVANTAGE/DISASVANTAGE ESSAY

Nowadays, Having a trip abroad for tourism is much more effortless for many compared to the old days. In my view, this trend has more benefits and fewer drawbacks due to several factors such as becoming broad-minded and generating revenues.

The first advantage which comes from this development in terms of tourism is broadening one’s horizon. In other words, once a tourist visits a foreign country, they will be more likely to have a chance to get acquainted with local culture, traditions, languages and lifestyle. A good example of this is my boss who has been to a plenty of overseas countries. When someone converses with him, he or she will realize that he is a person with foreign experience. Another perk produced by this trend is that gaining a huge profit with the help of tourism is possible for each region. That is, there is an ever-increasing number of countries whose main profit source is based on tourism. Take Dubai as an example, it is one of the most famous cities attracting an influx of travelers and this city obtains more than 70 % of its income from hospitality industry.

However, this profitable trend results in several negative sides as well. One of the drawbacks is pollution. To be more precise, as visitors go to a foreign country for the purpose of tourism, contamination is occurring more than in the past. The second disadvantage of this trend is that health-related problems. More precisely, visitors who come from foreign areas put inhabitants at risk of becoming infected with various viruses resulting from tourist intake. For instance, a foreign visitor who came down with a lethal virus came to our country two years ago and this virus disseminated around the whole country in a short period of time.

In conclusion, I reaffirm once again my position that this trend has more benefits than drawbacks because any country is able to cover up all of its expenses with the income coming from tourism.
