👁️ Meta platforms allowed ads for an AI porn-generation tool called Kromix, which seemingly encouraged users to create deepfaked videos resembling female US politicians. The ads, exclusively targeted to male users, ran for between five and 46 hours before being removed after WIRED inquired.

🚫 Meta states that nonconsensual intimate imagery and the promotion of "nudify" or "AI kissing" apps are not permitted, yet ads for such apps have frequently appeared on their platforms. Meta claims to have removed over 340,000 violating ads for "nudify" apps between November last year and January.
