100 Days of Building Yalpiz: My Journey as a Solo DeveloperIt’s been
100 days since I started working on
Yalpiz, my first independent project — a mobile app for both iOS and Android platforms. This journey has been a rollercoaster, filled with challenges and learning experiences.
Wearing Many HatsAs a solo developer, I’ve had to take on multiple roles. Not just writing code; I’m also the designer, engineer, product manager, marketing specialist and copywriter. Each of these roles comes with its own set of challenges:
•
Designing the app’s interface required me to think about user experience and aesthetics, something I hadn’t focused on before.
•
Engineering has sharpened my logical thinking and problem-solving skills. Building for both iOS and Android, significantly boosted my cross-platform engineering expertise.
•
As a product manager, I’ve been responsible for planning the app’s features and making sure everything comes together.
•
Marketing has pushed me to think about how to present Yalpiz to the world, crafting a message that resonates with potential users.
•
Writing content as a copywriter has been another challenge, ensuring that the app’s messaging is clear and engaging.
The app will be available for everyone on the App Store and Google Play once the ongoing problem with my Google Developer account is resolved 🙃.
