As a team player, I don’t expect my colleagues to write perfect code right away
What’s far more important is that they:
- Can express their thoughts clearly and concisely
- Collaborate effectively with the team
- Take responsibility for their work
- Show a desire to learn and grow
Technical skills can always be improved:
- Tools like ChatGPT, StackOverflow, and YouTube are incredibly helpful
- Practicing through real projects or challenges on platforms like Leetcode makes a big difference
But the ability to be a great team player? That’s much harder to teach
Programming can be learned, but soft skills are what truly make someone stand out
