✅ At this point, I feel like we can safely coin the term ‘edutainer’ - an educator who combines education with entertainment.
This whole ‘edutainment’ thing is actually a double-edged sword.
❌ If edutainers prioritize engagement over quality, it’s a problem. Many instructors now focus too much on making content “fun” and viral, but their actual teaching is weak. This leads to shallow learning, where students enjoy the content but don’t improve much.
✅ But if education stays the priority and entertainment is used to make lessons more digestible, then it’s a powerful tool. The best edutainers balance both, keeping students engaged while actually delivering results.
