➼ Every year on 08 January, 'Earth's Rotations Day' is celebrated all over the world. This day gives us an opportunity to understand the rotation of the Earth and its environmental effects.

➼ The 'India Open Badminton Tournament'will be organized in the capital Delhi from January 14. A total of 21 Indian players, including three men's singles, four women's singles, two men's doubles, eight women's doubles and four mixed doubles pairs, will compete in this tournament.
राजधानी दिल्ली में 14 जनवरी से ‘इंडिया ओपन बैडमिंटन टूर्नामेंट’ का आयोजन किया जाएगा। बता दें कि तीन पुरुष एकल, चार महिला एकल, दो पुरुष युगल, आठ महिला युगल और चार मिश्रित युगल जोड़ियां सहित कुल 21 भारतीय खिलाड़ी इस टूर्नामेंट में प्रतिस्पर्धा करेंगे।

➼ The Appointments Committee of the Union Cabinet has appointed senior space scientist ' V. Narayanan' as the new chairman of the Indian Space Research Organization-ISRO. He will take charge on January 14, replacing the current chairman S. Somnath.
केंद्रीय कैबिनेट की नियुक्ति समिति ने वरिष्ठ अंतरिक्ष वैज्ञानिक ‘वी. नारायणन’ को भारतीय अंतरिक्ष अनुसंधान संगठन-ISRO का नया अध्यक्ष नियुक्त किया है। वह वर्तमान अध्यक्ष एस. सोमनाथ की जगह 14 जनवरी को पदभार ग्रहण करेंगे।
➼ Padma Shri awardee and former Asian Games champion shot put player Bahadur Singh Sagoo has been elected as the new president of Athletics Federation of India-AFI. 51-year-old Bahadur Singh Sagoo will now serve in this post for the next four years.
पद्म श्री से सम्मानित और पूर्व एशियाई खेलों के चैंपियन शॉट पुट खिलाड़ी ‘बहादुर सिंह सागू’ को इथेलेटिक्स फेडरेशन ऑफ इंडिया-AFI का नया अध्यक्ष चुना गया है। 51 वर्षीय बहादुर सिंह सागू अब अगले चार वर्ष तक इस पद पर कार्य करेंगे।
