Post-Doctoral Fellowship

The “Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers” National Research University (TIIAME-NRU) seeks to recruit a post-doctoral fellow: the fellowship is tenable at the “Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers” National Research University, Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The position is supported by the SDGnexus Network II led by the Department of Ecology and Water Resources Management, TIIAME-NRU, Justus Liebig University, Giessen and by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) with funds from the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ).

Duration: 15 February 2025 – 31 December 2029
Deadline: 10 February 2025

Summary of the Position The SDGnexus Network II, consisting of partners from Colombia, Ecuador, Germany, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, provides a common research framework related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations (UN) and aims to analyze synergies and trade-offs among individual SDGs (SDG nexus analysis).

The Post-Doctoral Fellow will contribute to current team-based research projects, initiate new research, assume teaching and/or outreach responsibilities and assist in grant proposal writing and reporting within agriculture and food systems, water, urban and rural areas, natural resources and SDG progress & monitoring network.
