🔖 Mavzu: -ing clauses

💡 Ingliz tilida bir necha gaplar qatnashgan qoʻshma gaplarda gapning hokim (asosiy) va ergash (ikkinchi darajali) qismlarini ajratib koʻrsatish uchun clause atamasi qoʻllaniladi.
💡 Hokim gap - main clause, ergash gap - subordinate clause deb ataladi. Ergash gaplar hokim gapsiz hech qanday ma'no anglatmaydi, lekin hokim gap bilan qoʻllanilganda hokim gapda ifodalangan ish-harakatning mazmunini toʻldirib, sababini, paytini, tarzini bildirib keladi. Biz oʻrganmoqchi boʻlgan mazkur mavzuda fe’lning -ing shakli orqali ifodalangan ergash gapning (ing clause) oʻziga xosliklari koʻrib chiqiladi. O’zbek tiliga ravishdosh deb tarjima qilsak to’g’ri bo’ladi.
💡 -ing clause gapni ixchamlashtirish, ega bir shaxs boʻlganida uni qayta takrorlamaslik uchun qoʻllaniladi. Misol uchun quyidagi vaziyatni koʻrib chiqamiz:
🔹️Feeling tired, I went to bed early. (Charchab, men erta uxlashga yotdim.)
Bu misolda Feeling tired - -ing clause, I went to bed early - main clause hisoblanadi. Bu gapda -ing clause hokim gapda ifodalangan ish-harakatning sababini bildirib kelmoqda.

💡 -ing clause hokim gap va -ing clauseda ish-harakat bajaruvchisi bitta shaxs boʻlgan qoʻllanish holatlarini koʻrib chiqamiz:
💡 agar ikkita ish harakat bir vaqtda davom etib turgan boʻlsa:
🔹️She was sitting in an armchair reading a book. (U kresloda kitob oqib oʻtirgan edi.)

💡 oʻtgan zamonda bir ish-harakat davom etib turganida boshqa ish-harakat sodir boʻib oʻtsa, davomiy ish harakat uchun -ing clause qoʻllaniladi.
💡Jim hurt his arm playing tennis. (Jim tennis oʻynayotib qoʻlini jarohatladi.)

💡 when/while bog'lovchilari bilan ham qulaylik uchun -ing clause qoʻllanilishi mumkin.
🔹️Be careful when/while crossing the street. (Koʻchadan oʻtayotganda ehtiyot boʻl.)

💡 Agar ikkita ish-harakatdan birinchisi tugallanib, keyin ikkinchisi sodir boʻlganini bildirmoqchi boʻlsak gap boshida having + V3 (ed) bilan boshlanadigan -ing clause qoʻllanishimiz lozim.
🔹️Having finished our work, we went home. (Ishimizni tugatib, biz uyga ketdik.)
🔹️Having found a hotel, we looked for somewhere to have dinner. (Mehmonxona topib, biz kechki ovqat uchun biror joy qidirdik.)

💡Yuqoridagi qurilma majhul nisbatda having been+V3(ed) shaklida qoʻllaniladi.
🔹️Having been warned about the bandits, he left his valuables at home. (Qaroqchilardan ogohlantirilgandan keyin u qimmatli buyumlarini uyda qoldirdi.)
🔹️Having been bitten twice, the postman refused to deliver our letters unless we chained our dog up.

💡 Agar ikkita ketma-ket ish-harakat orasida juda qisqa oraliq boʻlsa, birinchi ish-harakat uchun oddiy -ing clause qoʻllashimiz kerak.
🔹️Taking a key out of his pocket, he opened the door. (Choʻntagidan kalitni olib, u eshikni ochdi.)

💡Boshqa holatlarda gap boshida kelgan -ing clause hokim gapdagi ish-harakatning sababini bildirib keladi.
🔹️Being unemployed, he is often short of money. (Ishsiz boʻlgani tufayli u tez-tez puldan qiynalib qoladi...sabab)
🔹️Not knowing what to do, she resigned to shoplifting. (Nima qilishni bilmasdan u doʻkonlardan narsalarni oʻg'irlay boshladi...sabab)
🔹️Feeling tired, I went to bed early. (Charchaganimdan men uxlashga erta yotdim...sabab)

⚡️ The Survivor
📊 Level A2

▶️ Episode 3: A coincidence (A2)

Agent Sanders is investigating a robbery. This is the third episode of The Survivor

Transcript:

Previously on The Survivor ...
Ambulance driver: We've got someone here! There's a person here!
Radio: Police say the small private plane crashed at 10 p.m. There were three people on the plane. Two people are dead. One person is in the hospital.
Nurse Bryson: You have a visitor, Jane. Agent Kowalski, from the FBI.
Agent Kowalski: How is she?
Nurse Bryson: Ask the doctors. I think she is very lucky to be alive. She's in a coma, but she is getting better.
Agent Kowalski: I know your real name, Agent Sanders.
...
One month before the plane crash ...
Agent Kowalski: Where are you? You didn't call last night.
Agent Sanders: I know. There were ... problems. I can't talk now. I can’t talk on the phone.
Agent Kowalski: Can we meet?
Agent Sanders: Not yet. Give me another 24 hours.
Agent Kowalski: We work together, Sanders. Don’t keep secrets ...

Agent Sanders: We don't use names on the phone!
Agent Kowalski: OK. Fine. We don’t use names. Have you found the money?
Agent Sanders: I think so. I’m close. I can't say more right now.
Agent Kowalski: Yes, you can. You can tell me ...
...
Nurse Bryson: Good morning, Jane! How are you? ... Oh dear, that’s the doctor. Just a second. Yes? ... No, our Jane Doe is fine ... Let me look at the chart. Hmm. Last night there was something strange. Like she was stressed. Were you stressed last night, Jane? She’s normal again now ... Yes, doctor. Of course, doctor. There’s someone at the door now, I have to go.
Officer Garner: Hello? Are you ... Nurse Bryson?
Nurse Bryson: Yes, I am. Can I help you?
Officer Garner: My name is Officer Brian Garner. I'm with the sheriff's department.
Nurse Bryson: Hello, officer. What can I do to help?
Officer Garner: I'm here to see your patient, and ask you a few questions.

Nurse Bryson: Well, I already talked to your friend at the FBI.
Officer Garner: FBI? Friend? What are you talking about?
Nurse Bryson: Agent Kowalski. He was here yesterday.
Officer Garner: Hmm. Strange ... I didn’t know this. Did this man show you his identification?
Nurse Bryson: Yes ... I think so. I ... I can’t remember.
Officer Garner: Don't worry. They never tell us anything. Anyway, do you have any information about your patient? Clothes, personal objects? Anything like that?
Nurse Bryson: There were some clothes, yes. But no identification. We call her Jane Doe.
Officer Garner: Hmm. Jane Doe. OK. Listen. Here's my card. If you see the man from the FBI again, can you call me?
Nurse Bryson: Yes, I can.
Officer Garner: Thanks. Maybe ...
Nurse Bryson: What is it? Do you think Jane is in trouble?
Officer Garner: I don't know. But maybe this is about the big robbery a few months ago.
Nurse Bryson: Robbery?
Officer Garner: Yeah. Two months ago there was a robbery of a bank truck. The robbers were never caught, and the money is gone. Two million dollars.
Nurse Bryson: But what is the connection with Jane?
Officer Garner: We found the truck near the airport where the accident was.
Nurse Bryson: Oh.
Officer Garner: It's probably nothing. A coincidence. Anyway, I'll let you go. Good afternoon.
Nurse Bryson: Good afternoon.

🔖 Mavzu: Participle I and Participle II (hozirgi va o'tgan zamon sifatdoshlarining qo'llanishi)

💡Avvalgi darslarda fe'lning otga xoslangan shakli (otga o'xshab ishlatiladigan shakli) bo'lgan gerundiy va infinitivlarni ko'rib chiqqan edik. Mazkur darsda esa fe'lning sifatga xoslangan shakli (sifatga o'xshab ishlatiladigan shakli) bo'lgan sifatdoshni (participle) ko'rib chiqamiz.

💡Sifatdosh deb predmetning yoki shaxsning belgisini bildiradigan fe'l shakliga aytiladi. Masalan: the rising sun - koʻtarilayotgan quyosh, a broken glass - singan stakan birikmalaridagi rising va broken so'zlari sifatdoshlar hisoblanadi va otlar (quyosh va stakan) so'zlarining belgisini bildirib kelmoqda.
🔹️A broken glass was lying on the table. (Stol ustda singan stakan yotardi)
🔹️The first rays of the rising sun lit up the top of the hill. (Ko'tarilayotgan quyoshning ilk nurlari tepalik cho'qqisini yoritdi)

💡 Ingliz tilida odatda sifatdoshning ikkita shakli qoʻllaniladi.

💡Participle I - hozirgi zamon sifatdoshi, ya'ni -ing qoʻshimchasi bilan tugaydigan sifatdoshlar: dancing, talking, running, joining. Oʻzbek tiliga bu sifatdoshlar -a(y)digan, -yotgan qoʻshimchalari bilan tarjima qilinadi va aniq nisbatda qoʻllaniladi.
🔹️the dancing girl - raqshga tushayotgan qiz
🔹️a road joining the two villages - ikkita qishloqni bog'lab turadigan, bog'laydigan yoʻl

💡Participle II - oʻtgan zamon sifatdoshi, ya'ni -ed qoʻshimchali yoki fe'lning III shakliga ega sifatdoshlar: produced, made, broken, invited. Oʻzbek tiliga bu sifatdoshlar -ilgan, -ingan qoʻshimchalari bilan tarjima qilinadi va majhul nisbatda qoʻllaniladi.
🔹️goods produced at this factory - bu fabrikada ishlab chiqarilgan (chiqarilayotgan) mahsulotlar
🔹️people invited to the party - ziyofatga taklif qilingan odamlar

💡 Sifatdoshlar oʻzlari izohlab kelgan soʻzlardan oldin yoki keyin kelishlari mumkin. Otdan keyin kelgan sifatdoshlar sifatdoshli birikmalar tarzida qoʻllaniladi.
🔹️The first rays of the rising sun lit up the top of the hill. (koʻtarilayotgan quyosh, oddiy sifatdosh, aniq nisbatda)
🔹️The broken arm was examined by the doctor. (singan qoʻl, oddiy sifatdosh, majhul nisbatda)
🔹️The room facing the garden is much more comfortable than this one. (bog'ga qarab turgan xona, sifatdoshli birikma, aniq nisbatda)
🔹️The goods produced at this factory are exported. (bu zavodda ishlab chiqarilgan mahsulotlar, sifatdoshli birikma, majhul nisbatda)

💡 Yuqoridagi gaplarda gap egasi va kesimi moslashuviga e'tibor berish lozim, chunki sifatdoshli birikmalar gap egasi va kesimi orasida joylashadi. Masalan quyidagi gapda:
🔹️The girl looking at you is Tom's sister. (Bu yerda gapning egasi - the girl, sifatdoshli birikma - looking at you boʻlib gapning egasiga mos ravishda is fe'li qoʻllanilgan)
🔹️The goods produced at this factory are exported. (Bu yerda gapning egasi - the goods, sifatdoshli birikma - produced at this factory boʻlib, gapning egasiga mos ravishda are yordamchi fe'li qoʻllanilgan.)

🔖 Mavzu: See sb do sth and See sb doing sth

💡 Ingliz tilida biror shaxsning bajargan yoki bajarayotgan ish-harakatlarini tasvirlash uchun qoʻllaniladigan fe'llar guruhi mavjud. Bu fe'llar orasida eng koʻp qoʻllanadigani to see - koʻrmoq fe'lidir. Masalan, men koʻchada ketayotib, Tomning mashinasiga oʻtirib, haydab ketganini koʻrdim.
🔹️I saw Tom. (Men Tomni koʻrdim) ➡️ He got into his car and drove away. (U mashinasiga oʻtirdi va haydab ketdi)

💡Yuqoridagi misolda ikkita gapni birlashtirib, bitta gap sifatida yozish mumkin.
🔹️I saw Tom get into his car and drive away. (Men Tomni mashinaga oʻtirib, uni haydab ketganini koʻrdim.)

💡Demak, agar birovning biror ish qilganini koʻrsak, quyidagi qurilma yordamida tugallangan ish- harakat tasvirlanadi.
💡to see somebody do something
🔹️Did you see anyone go out? (Birovning chiqqanini koʻrdingmi?)
💡Yuqoridagi qurilmada to see fe'lidan keyin toʻldiruvchi+bare infinitive (go/drive/break etc.) qoʻllaniladi.

💡 Majhul nisbatda esa toʻldiruvchi ega oʻrniga chiqqani uchun to+infinitive qoʻllashimiz kerak boʻladi.
🔹️They were seen to go out.

💡Agar birovning biror ish qilayotganini koʻrsak, ya'ni ish-harakat oʻsha paytda davom etib turgan boʻlsa, toʻldiruvchidan keyin gerundiy qoʻllashimiz kerak boʻladi.
💡to see somebody doing something
🔹️I saw Tom waiting for the bus. (Men Tomning avtobus kutayotganini koʻrdim)

💡Majhul nisbatda esa gap quyidagicha boʻladi:
🔹️ They were last seen playing football.

💡 Xulosa qiladigan boʻlsak, yuqoridagi qurilmalarda:
💡 ish-harakat tugallangan boʻlsa, toʻldiruvchidan keyin bare infinitive qoʻllaniladi:
🔹️Did you see the accident happen? (Avariya sodir boʻlganini koʻrdingmi?...avariya boʻlib oʻtgan.)
💡ish-harakat davom etib turgan boʻlsa, toʻldiruvchidan keyin gerundiy qoʻllaniladi:
🔹️Did you see him driving fast? (Uni tez haydab kelayotganini koʻrdingmi?...tez haydab kelayotgan boʻlgan.)

💡 Ba'zan yuqoridagi qurilmalarning orasida juda kam farq boʻladi, bu holat, ayniqsa, Present Perfect Simple (Hozirgi tugallangan) zamonida boʻlishsiz gaplarda koʻrinadi.
🔹️I have never seen her dance. (Men uni raqsga tushganini koʻrmaganman.)
🔹️I have never seen her dancing. (Men uni raqsga tushayotganini koʻrmaganman.)

💡 Yuqoridagi qurilmada to see fe'lidan tashqari yana bir necha fe'llar qoʻllana oladi:
▫️notice▫️look at▫️watch ▫️observe ▫️feel▫️listen to*▫️hear ▫️smell* ▫️find* ▫️discover* ▫️catch* ▫️leave* ▫️keep*
🔹️I didn't notice you come in. (Sizning kirib kelganingizni sezmadim.)
🔹️Liz suddenly felt something touch her on the shoulder.
🔹️Did you notice anyone go out?
🔹️I could hear it raining.
🔹️Listen to the birds singing!
🔹️Can you smell something being cooked? (Biror narsa pishirilayotganini hidini sezdingizmi?)
🔹️I found Sue in my room reading my letters.

💡 Yuqorida yulduzcha bilan ajratilgan fe'llar oʻzidan keyin faqat toʻldiruvchi+gerundiy shaklida qoʻllaniladi. Qolgan fe'llar esa mazmuniga koʻra har ikkala qurilmada qoʻllanilishi mumkin.

Two months before the plane crash .... episode two of The Survivor starts in the FBI offices.

Transcript:

...
Two months before the plane crash ...

Agent Sanders: Welcome to the FBI Bank Robbery Department. I’m Agent Sanders. Are you ready? Yes? Good. Come with me, please.
Agent Kowalski: Yes, thanks. This is not my first day.
Agent Sanders: I know. Your name is Nick Kowalski. You were in another department of the FBI for five years. You worked in an office. But this is different. We don’t work in an office in this department. We work on the street.
Agent Kowalski: Yes, Agent Sanders. I’m happy to be here. Who am I working with?
Agent Sanders: You’re working with me. I’m your boss for now. Are you OK with that?
Agent Kowalski: Yes. Yes. Of course, I just didn’t think …
Agent Sanders: What?
Agent Kowalski: Nothing. So, what’s our job?
Agent Sanders: Good question. What is the name of this department, Kowalski?
Agent Kowalski: The Bank Robbery Department.
Agent Sanders: So, we are going to catch some bank robbers.
...
Nurse Bryson: Good morning, Jane! And how are you this morning? ... You have a visitor, Jane. Agent Kowalski from the FBI. He said he had to see you. Is that OK? I said you were very tired ... Now, Agent Kowalski, she’s asleep, OK? She can’t talk.
Agent Kowalski: Thank you very much, ma’am. I’m sorry. But I have to see her. Only for five minutes.
Nurse Bryson: Well. Be nice to Jane.
Agent Kowalski: Jane?
Nurse Bryson: Yes, Jane Doe. It’s the name we gave her ... We don’t know her real name.
Agent Kowalski: How is she?
Nurse Bryson: Ask the doctors. I think she’s very lucky to be alive. She’s in a coma, but she is getting better.
Agent Kowalski: Can she hear us?
Nurse Bryson: We don’t know. Some people in a coma can hear everything. Other people can’t hear anything. We don’t know.
Agent Kowalski: Where are her things? Did she have a bag?
Nurse Bryson: She only had her clothes. No identification or purse. No phone. No bag.
Agent Kowalski: Hmm.
Nurse Bryson: So ... was she on the plane?
Agent Kowalski: We found her very near the plane, yes.
Nurse Bryson: But was she a passenger? The doctor told me there were only two people on the plane. They were both men. They are both dead.
Agent Kowalski: I can’t say. Well, that’s enough. Thank you, Nurse ...
Nurse Bryson: Bryson. Nurse Bryson.
Agent Kowalski: Well, Nurse Bryson, that’s all for today. If she wakes up, can you call me?
Nurse Bryson: Of course.
Agent Kowalski: Oh. One more thing. Can you give my colleague some information? Your name, your phone number, you know ...
Nurse Bryson: OK ...
Agent Kowalski: Go outside for a moment and see my colleague. His name’s Scott. He’s outside.
Nurse Bryson: I can’t leave Jane here alone ...
Agent Kowalski: She won’t be alone. I’ll be here, I need to write some notes.
Nurse Bryson: OK, then ...
Agent Kowalski: ‘Jane Doe’, huh? You can hear me, can’t you? ... I know your real name, Agent Sanders ... I’ll see you around, ‘Jane’. Wake up soon.

🗣️ “IELTS — ingliz tilini bilishda aniq o‘lchov emas”

— 8 marta IELTS topshirgan inson sifatida aytishim mumkinki, bu til bilish darajangizni o‘lchashda oxirgi to‘xtam emas. Imtihonga qay holatda borishimiz yoki bizdan imtihon oluvchining o‘sha kungi emotsional holati ham imtihon natijasiga ta’sir qiladi. Ba’zida imtihonning saviyasi odatdagidan ko‘ra yuqori bo‘lishi mumkin. 18 yoshli bolaga hayotiy tajriba talab etiladigan savollar beriladi, lekin unda bunday tajriba yo‘q. Buyam bir ta’sir qiluvchi omil. Shuning uchun “mening ingliz tilim shunchalik yomonki, men 6 oldim” degan xulosa juda noto‘g‘ri bo‘ladi.

🗣️ IELTS imtihoni natijasiga ta’sir qiluvchi omillar...

— Ingliz tili o‘rganishda asosiy 5 ta bosqich bor (aslida umumiy 6 ta), shu bosqichlarning 4 tasidan o‘tgan bo‘lish kerak birinchi navbatda. Keyin 20 ta keng tarqalgan mavzular bor, o‘sha mavzularda tushuncha va ko‘nikmalar bo‘lishi kerak. Bir-ikki urinishda o‘xshamasa, taslim bo‘lish kerak emas. “Yo‘q, men eplolmas ekanman” deb ongingizni qopqonga tushirishingiz kerakmas. O‘n marta o‘xshamasa, siz o‘n marta qilinishi kerak bo‘lmagan xatolarni qildingiz va ularni takrorlamaslik kerakligini o‘rgandingiz. O‘xshamagan vaziyatlardan xulosa chiqarish kerak.
Ba’zi o‘quvchilarim kutganimdan yuqori natija oladi, ba’zilari esa aksi. Psixologiya, falsafa muhim o‘rin tutadi, bu narsalarning bog‘liq tomoni ko‘p. Bolani urishish, qo‘rqitish natija bermaydi. Tushuntirish kerak bolaga. Bola tushunsin unga nima uchun bu natija kerak.
Imtihonga bir-ikki hafta qolgach, bolalar qo‘rqa boshlaydi, cho‘zsammi deb o‘ylab qoladi. Vaqt hech qachon yetmaydi. Qo‘rqish — inson instinkti. Cho‘zsa ham, yana shunaqa qo‘rquv paydo bo‘laveradi imtihon oldi. O‘qituvchi esa bu qo‘rquvlar tabiiy holat ekanini tushuntirishi lozim. Agar imtihondan past ball olsa, siqilib qoladi ko‘pchilik. Bu noto‘g‘ri— siqilish, depressiya orqali hali hech kim muammosini yechgani yo‘q.
