Similarly, the percentage of part-time workers in Wales wss already high at approximately 32% in 1980, before increasing slightly to just above 35% in 2010. Regarding Northern Ireland, it had significantly lower proportions of part-time employment. In Northern Ireland, this figure was about 15% in 1980, which dropped slightly to about 13% in 2010.
As for Scotland, despite having the lowest figure at roughly 12% in 1980, this figure then doubled to well below 20%, marking the most notable growth among the four countries.
