There's some Israeli guy who's got this app ...
Typically, “this” is used as a demonstrative pronoun. Example: This book is mine. (Refers to a specific book near the speaker). In this case, however, it serves another function, which is common in spoken English: engaging and story telling effect. An Uzbek alternative to this use of "this" is – "Bitta bola bor edi-ku..." or something along those lines. Another example: “I was walking down the street and saw this dog wearing sunglasses!”
Do yourself a favor and start focusing more on such natural language, rather than cherrypicked, seemingly academic vocabulary like "take the responsibility on my shoulder", which makes you sound like a raving madman who's escaped from a loony bin.
