FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out)⚠️

- is a psychological phenomenon where individuals feel anxiety or stress about missing out on exciting or rewarding experiences that others might be having. It is often associated with social media, where people see others enjoying activities, events, or achievements and feel a sense of exclusion or inadequacy.

Causes of FOMO🛎

Social Media Exposure – Seeing friends or influencers traveling, partying, or succeeding can trigger feelings of missing out.

Decision Paralysis – Worrying about making the wrong choice and missing a better opportunity.

Low Self-Esteem – Feeling that others are having a better or more fulfilling life.

Peer Pressure – Feeling obligated to participate in activities just because others are.

Effects of FOMO❗️

Increased stress and anxiety
Constant checking of social media
Decreased satisfaction with one’s own life
Impulsive decision-making and spending
Trouble focusing on the present moment

1. Do you prefer to work alone or in a group?
- Well, I think it depends, like sometimes I would prefer to be on my own because that way, I can focus more effectively on what I do. However, there are times that I enjoy being with other people, other students or classmates or my friends because sometimes working in a group will bring about better outcomes. For example if you work on a scientific research together.

2. Do you prefer to work at home or in the workplace?
- I I were allowed to choose, I would choose to work at home from the comfort of my own room because it feels much more comfortable there, I can eat or drink during the time of working without being judged and I can take a rest at whatever time I like as long as I can complete all of the assigned tasks.

3. What is your favorite place to study?
- Definitely my study corner in my own bedroom because it has everything I need and it even has an ergonomic chair which can support my posture and the health of my shoulders, my back and my neck because these areas often hurt. However, once a week I switch to the coffee shop because that way, I can be productive while having the great opportunity to admire the great atmosphere at the coffee shop.

4. Do you prefer study at home or in a library?
- To be honest, I've never been in a library for the purpose of studying so definitely I'd choose to study at home and it feels much more comfortable there. I can do whatever I want and I can be as loud as I want without disturbing any people
