The “Prosperous and safe mahalla” principle assigns responsibility for improving the effectiveness of the social prevention system in neighborhoods to the “Mahalla Seven”.🔍During a meeting at the Association of mahallas of Uzbekistan, officials from ministries, agencies, the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Tashkent city, regions, and all district administrations discussed urgent tasks for creating a safe environment in mahallas.
🔍At the beginning of the videoconference, the head of the Association, Qahramon Qurbonboyev, emphasized that 84% of citizen appeals are currently resolved within mahallas. The number of mahallas free from crime is also increasing, with significant contributions from ministries and agencies responsible for neighborhood operations.
🔍However, there is ample opportunity to multiply these results. The President’s decisions, decrees, and outlined tasks serve as a guiding framework in this regard.
🔍Today, preventing crime in mahallas is equally the responsibility of the “Mahalla Seven” staff, alongside the prevention inspector. It was noted that online training sessions should be organized in collaboration with partner organizations.
🔍Migration issues were also discussed during the meeting. It was specifically emphasized that ensuring the rights, safety, and legalization of activities for citizens who travel abroad for work is a pressing issue of the day.
