The maps show the layouts of one museum before and after its redevelopment 50 years apart, in 1957 and 2007. Overall, the museum experienced significant alterations and expansion, with the introduction of new facilities inside the museum building, such as a cafe, reception, education center, and a room for special exhibitions, as well as a car park to make the place more accessible to visitors with private cars. It is also clear that all these changes came at the expense of the lush area full of different trees around the museum.

In 1957, the museum was rather small and simple, covered with various trees on all sides, with the exception of the east. The entrance to the museum was through a winding footpath leading off from the tree-lined main road in the southern part of the map. Through the doors into the entrance hall, there was a large section dedicated to the national history exhibition right in front of the entrance. On the right-hand side of the entrance hall was the museum storeroom, while the local history room was situated across from it.

By 2017, the museum had been made bigger and more visitor-friendly. The museum had been expanded by adding two new rooms to the north and one more to the west of the building. This meant that most of the green area had to be cleared, leaving only a few trees in the northwestern part of the area to make way for this enlargement, along with a new car park in the southeast just above the main road. While the car park could house private vehicles of visitors, the entrance had been relocated to the new annex on the left side of the building, where visitors would enter the museum shop in order to get to the reception area.

To the right of the reception was a cafe in the bottom left corner of the building. The local history museum was moved to the area previously occupied by the national history exhibition, connected to the reception without any walls. Just above this area, rooms for special exhibitions on the left and an education center on the right were introduced.

The maps show the evolution of a town called Kimsville since 2002. Overall, the city has experienced a number of significant alterations and transformed from an industrial zone into a modern area, with the introduction of new amenities, such as a new football stadium, apartments, and a train station. It is also clear that these changes necessitated the removal of half of the green areas in the town.

In 2002, the city of Kimsville was ordinary without many facilities. The town center was huge and empty, with a shopping center located to the north of it and an old cinema to the south. There was also a big factory situated in the east, while the four corners of the town were occupied by trees.

Today, Kimsville appears more modern and different. The central part of the city along with the shopping center above it have remained unchanged, but the old cinema in the south has been converted into a pub. A new software company has been built, which resulted in the disappearance of the old factory. Across from the software company, there is a new train station just next to the city center. Other alterations include the construction of a brand new football stadium and apartments in the southwestern and northwestern sections of the town, respectively, replacing the lush areas. The trees in the eastern part of Kimsville have been left untouched.

The line graph shows the changes in the number of inmates in one prison in a certain European nation from 1911 to 2001. Overall, the number of male prisoners adhered to rising trends, while the reverse was true for females, with men in jail outnumbering their female counterparts throughout the period.

The figure for men who were locked up in jail more than doubled during the study period. Starting at just under 20,000 in 1911, the number of male prisoners was unchanged until 1921 before dipping to its lowest point, 10,000 in 1931. This number, however, recovered to its initial figure in 1951, after which it remained somewhat stable over the next two decades. From 1971 onwards, the figure for male inmates rose dramatically, closing the period at a chart high of around 45,000 prisoners in 2001.

The number of female prisoners, on the other hand, bucked the foregoing trend and was considerably smaller than that of males. There were about 3,300 women in prison in 1911, a figure that then declined sharply to a meager 500 in 1941. Over the ensuing two decades, this number climbed to close to 1,300 but fell again to just under 1,000 in 1971. Between 1971 and 2001, there was a noticeable rise in the figure for female inmates, reaching slightly over 1,500 at the end of the period.
