My name is Marjona Khafizova, and I am excited to share my journey with you as I pursue an LLM in International Economic Law at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL).

Before receiving the Chevening Scholarship, I spent 5 years working as a Senior Legal Consultant at EY, where I had the opportunity to advise leading public and international companies on their investment projects. My work focused on navigating complex legal frameworks and helping companies successfully implement their investment projects.

Upon completing my LLM and returning to Uzbekistan, I aim to contribute to the development of the country’s legal and economic sectors by applying the expertise I gain at QMUL. My goal is to support sustainable investment practices and strengthen Uzbekistan’s position in international economic and investment law.

My piece of advice for future Chevening applicants is to clearly articulate your long-term goals and how the Chevening Award will help you achieve them. Make sure to connect your academic pursuits and professional aspirations to the broader impact you want to make in your country or field.

My name is Aygul Tashibaeva. I am pursuing my Master’s in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Reading.

I am an entrepreneur launching my startup project on licorice in Muynak. So, my plans upon returning home are to adopt the world-class knowledge, experience, and ideas into the growth of my project and bring my product to the international market.

Chevening gives me this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get an education, network, and bring my ideas to life. The first message I would like to convey to future Chevening applicants is that IT IS POSSIBLE. During the application process:
