Whenever I notice an English learner practicing IELTS, especially listening, I wonder how they handle such a hyper-focus-demanding duty in the freaking noise-background area? Do they hold any super-human skill to ignore all distractions, which I admittedly couldn't during my prep, or do they favor pleasure over pain to achieve a desired score?
What about "lovely" couples practicing IELTS reading while sipping coffee together? Can we call them real conquerors of English?
If I reflect upon old times and my struggles in preparing for this language exam, I feel the striking contrast between where and how I proceeded with my language journey and preparation. They are enjoying their time - but will they ultimately realize their goals?
It is a matter of question.
btw, how did your "english journey" go?
