4 things I learned to get the most out of professional teamwork for your personal career growth:
1. Be prepared for the meetings. Don't be left behind in the innovative discussion.
2. Be vocal about your contributions. This ensures you get the deserved credits when the work is done. While teamwork isn't a competition to earn more credit, your individual value is what your future employers are concerned about.
3. Own your ideas. Deliver your ideas to the team by yourself, not through your teammate.
4. Participate in storytelling. You can be good at technical details and derivations but, first, have some story for people to associate your work with. Storytelling is an underrated skill that can make you stand out of the crowd of technically solid people around.
