Common Mistakes with Comparatives & Superlatives

Even advanced learners sometimes make mistakes with adjectives. Let’s fix them!

🚫 Wrong: My house is more bigger than yours.
Correct: My house is bigger than yours. (Never use ‘more’ with -er adjectives!)

🚫 Wrong: She is the most smartest girl in class.
Correct: She is the smartest girl in class. (‘Most’ is not needed with -est adjectives!)

🚫 Wrong: This is the most best movie ever!
Correct: This is the best movie ever. (‘Best’ is already a superlative!)

🚫 Wrong: He is more taller than his brother.
Correct: He is taller than his brother. (Don’t use ‘more’ with -er adjectives!)

📝 Quick Tip:
✔️ Use -er/-est for short adjectives (big → bigger → biggest).
✔️ Use more/most for long adjectives (beautiful → more beautiful → most beautiful).
✔️ Don’t use double comparatives (❌ more bigger, ❌ most best).

💬 Challenge: Fix this mistake → "This test is more easier than the last one."
