⚙️ Types of Conditionals:

Zero Conditional (facts/truths):

If water freezes, it turns into ice.

First Conditional (real future situations):

If I pass IELTS, I will study abroad.

Second Conditional (unlikely or imaginary situations):

If I had more time, I would practice speaking daily.

Third Conditional (past hypotheticals):

If she had studied, she would have passed the test.

❗️Common Mistake: Mixing tenses in conditionals:

Incorrect: If I knew, I will help you.
Correct:
If I knew, I would help you.

Challenge yourself to use mixed conditionals in your speaking or writing!

STRENGTHEN YOUR TASK 2 OPINIONS💡

When writing an opinion essay (Task 2), avoid weak or vague positions. Examiners look for a clear, well-argued stance.

Strong example: “I firmly believe that online education will replace traditional classrooms due to its accessibility and cost-effectiveness.”

Weak example: “I think online education is good, but classrooms are also important.”

Why it works:

• A strong stance shows confidence in your argument.

• It allows for better examples and development.

Tip: Use phrases like “It is evident that…” or “This essay argues that…” to introduce your position clearly.
