It's all about the angle!

- from my recent talk to a Syrian friend born in Saudi Arabia, I realized many things: especially, not to look at any situation from one perspective, rather considering many angles!

We talked about what's happening in G'azza and involvement of Gulf Countries there! He said Saudis are helping massively: the government giving 50 million dollars and a lot of private companies donating consistently! We Uzbeks honestly do not like recent act of Saudis!

And at one point, he said What's Uzbekistan doing!

I was speechless; I said we are helping verbally! What can a verbal help do!

It felt to me like Saudis are doing the help and taking the blame as well

You might think why! If they help G'azza, it might degrade its relationship with many countries, ultimately leading to decrease in tourism, the only thing KSA has been trying hard to improve!

If they don't do tourism, it might bring financial hardship, which can cut the help!

It got me thinking and taught me a good lesson!

- today in Management class there was this line that goes:

where a person is afraid to talk freely, productivity dies there.

I started to think why American elections are never one side reliant, and you never see big discrepancies!

People are never afraid to talk about any of the candidates. You see ordinary people roasting presidents.

Sure, that would be impolite to talk bad about the leader of the country, yet that should never be out of fear but respect!

That's has already been an elephant in the room, for everyone knows yet fail to act.

- on a related talk in the lesson yesterday with my Korean Professor, she told us about her academic background and I went on asking some questions, specifically which universities did she work at.

Interestingly, she said Cornell; I got bat-slapped twice from this university! I was amazed for real, for a teacher from my dream University is teaching us!

She kept so low profile at the first lessons and never told us she worked at Cornell until I asked!

Her teaching is of course top-notch, and I am learning a lot of teaching skills as well!

- the last week was so killing for I had Midterms, University applications, and my language course!

keeping up all your academics is so tough; I even had to write combined 2800+ word brainstormed essay while doing my midterms.

Even so I have managed to pull off A+ from all my exams but felt so cooked; I must never pile up everything at once; but this time it was not me but the fate that prepared everything at once.
