The maps show Ashford in 2010 and the same town now.
In general, it is clear that Ashford’s infrastructure has improved over the years, and the town has become more green.
Looking more closely at the details, in 2010, Ashford was divided into two parts by River Tam. The area to the west of the river featured a road leading to the city and some trees. People living to the east of the river had to rely on a ferry to commute to the city, and there were only 5 blocks of flats in the eastern part, meaning the population of Ashford was quite small.
At present, both parts of Ashford are connected by a new bridge, and more housing has been built to accommodate the town’s rising population. To the south of the bridge, a Yacht Marina has been established, marking the most noticeable change since 2010. Also, in comparison with the past, Ashford appears to be greener due to the addition of new trees in the southwestern region.
