I don’t usually plan my days since I can keep track of things that are going to happen. Today was the biggest burnout lesson that now taught me to plan my days. I couldn’t catch up with time, there were things after things waiting to get done.

I think there comes a time where you have to plan your days since you can’t go through your day without the checklist and I think that time now for me. Maybe this only happens at the end of the semester.

People from the school casually ignoring you at school since everyone is piled up with work, but jumping into you once they see you outside since they want to forget everything about school and have fun just like Stanford Duck Syndrome.

Not sure about the details but if it is just buying 5-year residency and no payback, no one is paying that.

School Vibe:

There is something phenomenally amazing about colleges (maybe admissions officers) that find something truly special about students that connect all of them together: Vibe. You will wonder why the heck you feel helping this random guy that attends the same college. Especially when I talk to seniors or hang out with them, they took me as like a close mate even if I am seeing them for the first time. You realize that there is no competition between you and them in the professional world and although there is in academics, they try to help you out.

I was reflecting on this and the reasons why same alma maters help each other out is that there is a debt they feel like they owe to juniors, protecting school prestige, vibe and build giving back sort of habitual. However, not everyone is within this category, there are a few maybe more gatekeepers, selfish people who think being helpful is self-disadvantage. I have seen most of them even if smart, fail in career, networking and social life since they are very much spot-able.

My advice to any incoming and current students, never gatekeep, correct them if they are wrong, share, help people out in their academic or career journey. Defend the Prestige and Contribute to the Vibe. At the end of the day, that specific person you abandoned helping out or correcting ends up defining you/your school when employed/socialize with people.

Do we have any Start-up, SME founders or someone who is largely involved in the development of the entity?

Grow in a team that is growing:

Since I have joined the team, I have been a part of great growth and expansion of our portfolio companies. Last Friday, we have opened our new studio for MYbarre (boutique fitness) in Lujiazui (Financial Center of Shanghai).

I have been learning and growing within the team, being trained by former Executive of Popeyes & Burger King, Hedge fund investor (10+ years IB&PE experience), former consultant and Stern alumni and former Head of Tech at Burger King & McDonald’s. The whole team is amazing and growth-oriented. Team of Elites. One of the founders of a portfolio company is a 7 times World Champion cumulative of boxing and kickboxing retiring undefeated. Meeting this legend both in the office and in the gym is crazy experience for me. The whole Consumer and Retail businesses are very much fun to work with.

Chet Elda O’qish:

Uzbeks are one of the funniest people to chat. They not only want to study at a Top school with a scholarship but also want to work full-time, make money and send home. Besides University should be responsible for their career as well.

What a joke! What do you think, is it too much to ask or just a stupidity of some sort. I mean it is fine as long as you don’t make it like University or Anyone else owes you a career, better job, better future. No one owes you anything, You owe it to yourself.

I love this vibe. This is exactly why I am in the game.
