IT'S ALMOST TIME 🇪🇸🇪🇸
Again and again, we find ourselves watching Atlético Madrid face Real Madrid. This time, however, it’s in the Champions League—not La Liga.
Two teams from the same city are about to clash in what we hope will be an exciting match. However, as we know, crucial games like this often turn into tactical battles rather than pure entertainment. But this year’s Atlético Madrid seems different. They appear to have more variety in their play, attack more effectively, and score more goals. They even managed to put four past Barcelona.
Given their recent form, I wouldn’t be surprised if they manage to grab a point at the Bernabéu today—or who knows? Maybe they could even defeat Real Madrid, who struggled against Betis just a few days ago.
Regardless of what I think, and regardless of what you think, I believe we are about to witness high-quality football. Why? Because it’s March. Because it’s the Champions League. Because it’s Real Madrid at the Bernabéu—the team with the most titles. And because they are facing their fierce rivals, Atlético de Madrid, led by Diego Simeone—a man who despises Real Madrid more than any other club on the planet. After all, they’ve denied him Champions League glory for over a decade.
