The subscriber...

We found the lucky person by randomly choosing from my "personal chats".

Around 15 people notified me of their interest.

I am going to announce who will be that student today at 21.00.

If you have not sent a message to @Misterbexruz saying whether you are interested or not, there is enough time to do that till the deadline!

Btw, the student will be chosen randomly, and they should DM if they want to have speaking sessions for free!

One more thing ...

Speaking sessions are not going to be aired in the channel. The lessons are tailored for individuals.

Announcement!!!

I am going to have speaking sessions with one subscriber in this channel, and the speaking sessions are going to be free of charge.

Just DM @Misterbexruz .

I had this essay checked by a person who got 9 in IELTS, and he assigned the following scores:

Task Response: 7.5
Coherence and Cohesion: 8.0
Lexical Resource: 8.5
Grammatical Range: 7.5 to 8.0

He actually blew my mind with these scores 🤯.

Many people these days use social media to keep in touch with other people and news events.

Do you think the advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages?

In recent years, social media platforms have begun to play a crucial role in assisting people to socialise with others and to stay informed of the news. Wh
ile it is irrefutable that this trend confers remarkable disadvantages to the society as a whole, I believe that the utilisation of social media as a communication tool is more advantageous in several respects compared to the drawbacks.

On the one hand, this state-of-the-art digital technology has brought about some disadvantages that are generally affecting the entire society. One of the most concerning impacts emerging from the use of social media is that face-to-face conversations are getting rarer, which is leading people to become self-confined in their houses. Because this form of conversation is proven to have mental repercussions if people spend less time conversing in offline settings, this will result in mental stress, depression and loneliness. Moreover, people’s daily walking distance is shrinking due to the fact that they are more focused on being indoors so that they can allocate much of their valuable time on social media, which is, in fact, one of the reasons for the increasing levels of obesity. Apart from getting into contact with others, there is a high possibility of misinformation about happenings around the world, since social media messengers are dominated by unauthorised people sending posts to the public.

However, in my opinion, the deleterious influences are outnumbered by the benefits of the social media thanks to several specific factors. Firstly, in the past, people had to go on long journeys in order to visit their relatives and also navigate their way back, and this was time-consuming, but the advent of social media messengers has allowed people to communicate messages to their kin without taking unnecessary trips. Secondly, it has improved the education system by providing students with tools for distance learning, thus enabling children in poverty-stricken areas to gain access to books, recorded lessons and educational materials. Thirdly, fast-paced technological progress and technologies that support instant messaging mean that people are immediately kept aware of news events on a global level, and this facilitates spreading information about threats, incidents and developments across the world.

In conclusion, the trend of people making use of social media to converse and be aware of recent events has brought both upsides and downsides; though, I reiterate that the drawbacks are outweighed by the beneficial aspects.

The given pictures depict the stages by which glass bottles and containers are recycled.

Overall, the process involves three main phases that have numerous steps to take, commencing with customers using glass containers while culminating with the bottles being delivered to supermarkets.

In the first stage of the recycling process, after bottles are purchased in the supermarkets and used by customers, or, in other words, after glass bottles have fulfilled their intended uses, they are thrown away into special trash bins called collection points. Trucks gather and transport them from these points to the cleaning plants.

Following the first stage comes the second phase, in which several actions are carried out to manufacture new glass items out of used ones. So as to purify bottles of any harmful substances, high-pressurised water is applied to the inside and outside of the bottles. Consequently, they are arranged into three categories depending on their colour: green, brown and transparent. After this, they are sent straight to glass factories where they are crushed to pieces. These pieces are then melted under scorching heat. The resulting liquid is mixed with melted glass from other sources, ultimately being moulded into new bottles. Finally, newly made glass containers are filled with beverages, packed into boxes and distributed back to supermarkets for sale, thereby continuing the recycling process.

Rubric: It is better for children to grow up in the countryside than in a big city. Do you agree or disagree?

My introduction:

It is stated that a country life is better suited to children compared to an urban one, since the countryside provides numerous benefits to the upbringing of the young ones. As far as my opinion is concerned, I completely agree that children lead a far better life in villages, because of the environment that they live in, the society into which they integrate and the priorities that they carry out routinely during their childhood.

The given bar chart illustrates data on how much electricity was produced by wind in four different countries during a 15-year period, from 1985 to 2000, calculated in megawatts.

Overall, whereas it is noticeable that all countries boosted the amount of energy generated by wind in the years stated, the US did not showcase as huge increases in output as other countries. Interestingly, at the end of the period, Denmark overtook the lead from the US, surpassing the other three countries.

At the onset, the energy output by India accounted for 200, which was two times less than that by Germany. Although this amount in Denmark was slightly higher compared to India, the US registered a whopping quantity of 1200 megawatts.

In the years 1990 and 1995, marked changes in electricity production by wind were experienced. Regarding India, the amount doubled in each year, reaching 800 by 1995, with Germany making up the same output in that year. While Denmark witnessed a relatively negligible increase between 1985 and 1990, it rocketed to 1200 megawatts in the following five years up to 1995. The maximum amount of energy produced by any country was attributed to the US in 1990, generating more than 1600 megawatts.

However, by 2000, Denmark's production equaled the peak output of  the US from 1990, while the US itself had declined to approximately 1500 megawatts. Germany, on the other hand, was lagging behind other countries at around 900. In contrast, there was a remarkable rise in the amount of energy by India, which was responsible for 1200 megawatts.

Mixed media courses rose slightly to 15 percent, but face-to-face courses witnessed a drop of 13 percent to 54. Interestingly, there was no change in the proportion of correspondence courses in 1994.
