The best way to provide road safety is to introduce more serious punishments for drivers.

There is a view that road safety can be maintained through the introduction of more severe punishments for drivers. While this trend sounds promising in some ways, I would disagree with this statement as excessive pressure on drivers can lead to possible hatred towards the rich and even more violent society.
 
One serious punishment that can improve the safety of overall traffic can be a strict fine which requires a fortune to be paid. This is because, if governments introduce this method to the public in favor of keeping roads safe, travelers would normally tend to follow traffic regulations in almost any cases. Take salary cuts as an example. Once individuals whose accusations are speed increases are deprived from a particular part of their salary as a punishment, they then normally avoid making the same mistake again which reduces their level of speed intentions. However, this means of providing road safety might not address people with an affluent lifestyle. To be precise,wealthier people with speeding preferences would not limit themselves with this form of punishment despite being money-related. As a result, although this road safety operation can apply many, it might pose a sense of hatred towards the rich once their speeding actions are observed by the public.
 
Another road regulatory approach is linked to the government that can limit people’s car use for some time. In other words, the state can take cars from their owners and punish them with a severe restriction period to form road-friendly behavior. Once drivers are introduced with this approach, it can trigger them to be careful in traffic. Nevertheless, limiting people’s actions in this kind of severe way also means creating a society with excessive pressure which might in turn lead to fear of making mistakes and lack of independence. After all, people may start feeling more controlled, monitored and experience higher dissatisfaction levels of their lifestyles.
 
In conclusion, road safety can be ensured and further maintained with the implementation of more serious punishment methods such as high fines and car use restrictions. However, I would not support this view as the side effects which arise from these approaches can be even serious.
