💻 Practice Test Takeaways

Contrary to my initial expectations, I didn't notice any major change in the test structure, nor did I figure out new traps the SAT threw in to confuse the applicants.

Indeed, most questions were based on the common, old SAT logic; thus, they didn't require any extra skill or knowledge to work through. Moreover, there were several questions taken from the past exams - October through December 2024, in particular - which indicates that College Board haven't created too many new questions for March exam.

🆕Even though minimal, some changes I caught are that Math sections (both M1 and M2) became slightly easier, and that Textual Evidence questions in EBRW M2 were noticeably tricky. However, we can't jump into conclusions about the March Administration based on one practice test.

👨‍🏫As for the live event, I've selected most challenging 5️⃣ Reading, 2️⃣ writing, and 5️⃣math questions to analyze during the session.

Keep up with us to learn about the logistics of the event.

👨‍💻March-takers, I highly encourage you to join the event 🎆

A few questions from December 7 exam were repeated: tough reading questions in the previous test were incorporated...

👋, dudes!

👨‍💻 College Board finally updated the Bluebook SAT content, adding 1️⃣ brand-new test (Practice test 7) and 3️⃣ old-new mixed tests (Practice tests 8-10).

👨‍🦳As someone who've been doing the SAT for three years now, I have done, analyzed, and explained every single question ever published (no exaggeration).

Thus, I see this new addition as an opportunity to test myself once more: specifically, I'll take the test 7️⃣tomorrow in the morning (8:00-10:00 AM) under the exam conditions💀.

Afterwards, I'll get back to you with my predictions for the upcoming changes in the SAT test structure 📰.

Additionally, I'm planning to hold a live event this coming Sunday in which I will explain top 10 difficult questions (5 EBRW/ 5 Math) of this test.

Stay tuned, everyone ⌛

🖥Status: Solved ✅

👨‍💻Concepts Tested:

- Congruent triangles [Similar triangles have identical angle degrees]

- Trigonometric relations [sin, cos, tan)

❗️Key Points:

1️⃣A baby triangle is congruent to its parent [When a new - smaller - triangle is created by drawing a line parallel to the base or height, it is similar to the big one]

2️⃣Identical triangles have identical trig values [e.g. sin1=sin2]

The #1 overlooked aspect of the SAT is reading comprehension, or basics in general. When students enroll in SAT programs, they do expect magical strategies and tips that improve their SAT Reasoning (aka SAT Verbal section) by 200-300 points in no time.

That your verbal score only consistently grows through constantly bettering reading comprehension (exposure to advanced reads) and refining your grammar is a harsh reality.

Rather than seeking shortcuts, accentuate fundamental concepts throughout your journey - especially if your EBRW score is still around 400-600 (or even -650).

🗣️A snippet from our midnight conversation with my brother:

Him: Let's test my school prep...

Me: Who is Herodotus?

Him: He's the founder of Geometry

Me: 🤮

Kids need real schooling, guys 👨‍🏫. Imagine him and his friends in 2-3 years starting their SAT journey: unless you got some solid schooling (at least know commonsense), you almost invariably fail at whatever discipline/test you put your hands on.

👨‍💻Concepts Tested:

- Perimeter of a polygon [Perimeter is a sum of all side lengths]

- Congruent triangles [Congruent triangles have identical side lengths and angle degrees]

- Area of an equilateral triangle [A=(v3/4)x*2]

❗️Key Points:

1️⃣ Equilateral triangles have three sides of the same length.

2️⃣ Area of any triangle [A=bh/2]

3️⃣ Height can be found using special right triangle [30-60-90] ratios.

A fire that shifts from soft to warm.
Depths unseen, not all can find,
A world that mirrors heart and mind.

Not every hand can hold this flame,
For precious things aren’t touched by shame.
