Running from November 15, 2018, to November 15, 2022, it addressed critical barriers to education and societal participation, fostering inclusivity and regional collaboration.

Why is this important?DECIDE tackled discrimination by raising awareness and promoting inclusion in line with the Bologna Process and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. It empowered universities, policymakers, and NGOs to better support individuals with special needs and strengthened regional cooperation for inclusive education.

Key Features of DECIDE🔘 Access Liaison Officer Role: Established in partner institutions to advocate for disability access.
🔘 National Special Needs Awareness Days: Organized to raise public awareness through collaboration with key stakeholders.
🔘 Curriculum Development: Created Introductory and Advanced Modules to train educators, policymakers, and NGO staff, ensuring systemic improvements in inclusion.
🔘 Regional Collaboration: Fostered joint initiatives and sharing of best practices across Central Asia.
The project involved higher education institutions in Uzbekistan, such as the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service (SIES), Tashkent University of Information Technologies (TUIT), and Karakalpak State University (KKSU), reflecting a strong commitment to inclusive education in the region.
With a budget of €991,106, DECIDE promoted inclusive education, empowered individuals with special needs, and created a foundation for more equitable systems.
