There is a view that the consumption of meat is harmful for our health. While some meats such as processed and red meat cause some serious health issues, I believe that this would be advantageous for our health, if we eat fish and poultry.
Admittedly, there are some types of meat which can be harmful for the body and mind though their permanent benefits. Firstly, red meats such as beef, veal, and pork usually contain more saturated fat and calories despite their rich source of protein. Having such higher amounts of calories might lead people to be lazy after a short period. Moreover, if we eat processed meat, there would not be any minerals and nutrients. As they involve chemicals that are so harmful for people’s health, thereby we should avoid eating both red and processed meats to get rid of heart disease and diabetes.
Furthermore, we should consume other types of meat and seafood instead of the aforementioned ones. To begin with, poultries are not only rich source of protein, but they could provide the body with higher amounts of nutrients. Then, it can affect people to weight loss and maintenance instead of being obese. Additionally, fish consumption also makes people healthier, particularly those with poor eyesight. Since, fish are the best source of nutrients and minerals that cannot be seen in other animals’ meat. Therefore, both chicken and seafood have the same protein as other meats, but without all the fat and calories.
In conclusion, people should eat more poultry and seafoods rather than red and processed meats to not face with overweight and heart problems. I believe that meat is a rich source of high protein intake and nutrients.
