The line graph shows data on how many people participated in different activities at one social centre in Melbourne, Australia for the years 2000 and 2010.

Overall, there was an increase in the number of participants in table tennis and musical performances, while the opposite was true for amateur dramatics. It is also worth mentioning that the figure for film club, which was dominant throughout the period, and martial arts remained more or less unchanged.

Looking at upward trends, table tennis started off the graph with about 18 participants and finished with 55, including only a rise. In 2005, musical performances made up the least share of attendance, which was then followed by a growth to 10, and after that this continued to grow. Regarding downwards in the number of people taking part in different activities, the figure for amateur dramatics stood at 26 in 2000 and increased to almost solid 30 after 5 years. Coming in last, it was seen a continuous decline from 30 to less than 10 in 2020.

As for the other sections namely film club and martial arts, they did not experience considerable changes. Film club accounted for approximately 63, which subsequently decreased to around 61 after a decade. Till 2020, this sector recovered and peaked at 64, slightly changing. Notably, figure illustrating the number of people joining in martial arts was first at about 38 and after a couple of fluctuations, it remained almost unchanged.

These days many fathers stay at home and look after their children while mothers go out to work

Why is this case?
Positive or negative development?

In recent years, it has become  increasingly common for women to pursue their careers while men stay at home to look after the children. While this situation can be attributed to practical factors, I believe that it largely represents a positive development due to social benefits.

There are clear advantages for women becoming breadwinners of their family. Once mothers are able to go out to work, they are likely to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and walks of life, thereby improving their social skills such as communication, negotiation, and active listening. Such essential life skills and qualities can ultimately make it easier to form meaningful relationships. This is particularly beneficial for those who had stayed all their life at home. A good case in point is the US where parents have changed their  rules due to social benefits.

The increase in women's activeness in society is influenced by practical factors. With the rising costs of living, people now struggle to afford their basic needs such as education, health care, and food, let alone living a comfortable lifestyle. Given this situation, it comes as no surprise that women may want to find a rewarding job in order to earn a substantial amount of income while men are staying at home to take care of their children. For example, my neighbor can be a great example whose husband looks after their children every other day to create an opportunity for his wife to work since he also works in a big company as a manager, thus being able to save up to future emergencies.

In conclusion while practical factors may cause this condition, I consider it to be a positive development because of its social advantages.

Some people believe that city is beneficial for children while others prioritize rural life. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

People have different views as to where is more beneficial for children: urban or rural areas. While there are health benefits to living in rural areas, I believe that urban life is much better in terms of practical factors.

Proponents of living in rural areas cite various reasons to support their stance. When children reside in villages, they may not come across factories  which release not only toxic gases, but also loud noises to the environment, thereby  maintaining their well-being by clear environment. Such essential health-improving places can ultimately make it easier for children to live longer and without diseases. This is particularly beneficial for those who have respiratory maladies. A good case in point is, my countryside, Karatepa where individuals usually have higher life expectations due to the fact that there are a lot of green spaces but factories which allow air to be contaminated.

On the other hand, in my opinion, despite benefits of living in a rural area, there are greater advantages to  living in cities. Through a city life, children can be able to study in modernized schools where students are taught by well-qualified teachers, leading to high possibilities to excel in their preferred field in the future. As a result, they can earn a substantial amount of money which can make their ends meet, invest income generating and save up to future emergencies. This, in turn, can pave the way for long-term financial stability and freedom.

In conclusion, while it can be useful for children to live in villages thanks to health benefits, I believe that living in cities are far advantageous when we look at its practical factors.

Nowadays, many people get married when they are older. Why is this? Is it positive or negative development?

In recent years, it has become common for individuals to start a family later in their life. While this situation can be attributed to a mix of practical and emotional factors, I believe that it largely represents a positive development due to its personal and academic benefits.

The decline in marriage is driven by a blend of practical and emotional factors. With the rising costs of living, people now struggle to live a comfortable lifestyle and afford basic needs such as education, healthcare, and daily necessities, thereby willing to pursue their career path in order to earn a great amount of money. A good case in point is my country, Uzbekistan , where individuals marry when they are older due to these practical reasons. From a sentimental standpoint, as social realms and values change, it has  become no surprising for people to get married, which can make them feel less pressur from social expectations. This, in, turn causes a situation in which people may not be ready to take a rule on family commitments.

Besides these reasons, there are clear benefits to getting married later. When people are not married , they may not be interrupted by their couple, thus working longer hours on themselves. This can ultimately lead to personal growth which can earn them a good reputation, leading to increase their salary. Academically, through a single life, individuals can have opportunities with regard to studying overseas, thereby gaining a high-quality education system. Given these opportunities, it comes as no surprise to become well-qualified in their own field. Those people may absolutely be asked to come to their own countries ,which they were raised,in in order to see improvements.

In conclusion, while this situation is caused  by practical and emotional factors, I believe that it has a positive effect on
individuals thanks to personal and academic benefits.
