I've never been anyone's first choice.
Always the afterthought, the backup plan, the second option.

I know I'm loved, and I appreciate that. But love isn’t the same as being a priority.
Just once, I want to be the favorite - the first call, the first thought, the one who truly matters most.

But there’s always someone better. A better friend, a better sister, a better daughter, a better partner.
And the truth is, I can’t even be mad about it.

Because if I had to choose…
I wouldn’t pick me either.
