Good evening ⚡️

This post is about our CDI mock tests, which take place every Sunday. Occasionally, we also hold additional sessions during the week or on Saturdays.

For a long time, most students in Uzbekistan took the paper-based IELTS and practiced with paper-based mock tests. However, experiencing a CDI test allows candidates to see whether completing the Listening, Reading, and Writing sections on a computer is a better option for them. This can help maximize their chances of achieving a higher score on the official exam.

Our mock tests are designed to closely simulate the real exam. The software we use is 90% similar to the actual CDI test interface. While there are minor differences—since we developed the system ourselves—the overall experience remains highly realistic.

During the mock test, you will complete the main sections within two hours and 45 minutes, giving you a true-to-life exam experience.

For now, the main venue for the CDI test is Thompson School’s private school (near Novza Metro). The IT room where we conduct the test is on the third floor.

Cost: 190,000 sums. While some of you may claim it is expensive, the reality is—it is over 12 times cheaper than the real test you take.

We conduct the majority of speaking tests via video calls (and remotely). We can record your performance and send it to you for self-reflection.

Over 100 students have already tried our mock test services, and you can be the next participant. Contact @dilshodbekmock to sign up.

This week, we have 3 sessions ⬇️

🔠 15:00 Saturday
🔠 14:00 Sunday (almost fully booked)
🔠 18:00 Sunday

Results are available in two full days.

Ozodbek (niner) is conducting a free writing marathon in March.

If your exam is around the corner and you need regular writing routine, consider joining his special offer.

The chart shows the change in forested land in different regions of the world over time.

My sample ⬇️

The bar chart presents information on the changes in forest cover in 10 regions over time. In general, in five out of ten regions, increases in the percentage of forested land were recorded, whereas in others, the proportion of cleared forest cover exceeded gains. It should be noted that the most significant decreases in forested land took place in the 1995-2000 timeframe.

Central Asia, North America, and Europe had minimal increases, all under 0.5%, in forest cover among the regions with growth. East Asia and the Caribbean, on the other hand, had increases of over 0.5%, with the largest rise in East Asia between 2000 and 2005. In this particular period, East Asia’s forest cover had risen by 1.3%. In this same period, the Caribbean region also had its biggest growth, reaching 0.9%.

Among the regions with a decline in forested land, Central America stands out with the worst decreases in all three spans. Between 1995 and 2000, particularly, this region recorded a -1.5 percent change, the largest among all regions. Within this timeframe, North Africa and South Asia also saw reductions of over -0.5%, but between 2000 and 2010, their decreases were not as significant.

I usually don’t post such messages because there tends to be some suspicion about the money being donated. However, this case is true and is related to my student.

Her mother is seriously ill (I don’t want to get into detail), so I thought it would be nice if we could donate to help with an expensive treatment.

I already made my donation, but if we collaborate, we could help save a life and prove that miracles do happen.

Here’s the card of a receiver (my student):

She is doing her best to take care of her mom, but the financial pressures of this world can obviously be too large for one person to solve such issues.

Some children spend hours every day on their smartphones. Why is this the case? Do you think this is a positive or a negative development?

Children are lately spending hours of their daily time using their smartphones. I believe this happens because of the interconnectedness of the modern world and parents’ inability to monitor children’s routine. As for the impact of this tendency, it is clearly negative as children often develop addiction to these gadgets and lead an unhealthy lifestyle.

Phones were initially used for calls and texts, but smartphones are multifunctional and are now integral parts of our lives. Even for children, it may be challenging to be connected to the world without a device, especially when it comes to educational responsibilities. However, phone usage does not occur only because of how dependent children are, but also because of no limits placed by parents. In other words, children in certain families are not monitored well enough, meaning they overuse their phones because of parental neglect.

With regard to the impact of this, there are obviously a number of undesirable outcomes. Mainly, children tend to become overly reliant on phones, spending a bigger part of their day using this device. Health-wise, this is quite detrimental since any addiction to technology is usually associated with a sedentary lifestyle. Aside from physical factors, mental health can be damaged as well. For instance, a child playing violent games on a smartphone for a long time can develop aggressive behavior, leading to isolation and antisocial acts. These are the most obvious consequences of smartphone overuse.

In conclusion, children are mostly overusing their smartphones, which happens due to factors such as technology’s integration and parental irresponsibility. The impact of this development is quite unhealthy, as the examples above suggest.

NEW COURSE ALERT 🚨

The biggest course I want to do in March will be dedicated to young teachers who lack experience. I've noticed that my channel is followed by hundreds of teachers from different parts of Uzbekistan. Some of them are very experienced and don’t need additional courses because they have been in the field for a long time. However, many of them are quite young, working as academic support staff, and they likely need recommendations, materials, and guidance to expand their knowledge.

This message is for those individuals. I’m launching a course in March that will feature lessons specifically designed for IELTS instruction. The course will cover how to teach IELTS, how to prepare materials for students at different levels, and how to teach listening, reading, writing, and speaking, among other topics. I will discuss all the details of the course, and I promise it will be truly informative for anyone who has questions—especially since I receive inquiries almost every day from teachers across the country.

More posts to be made soon.

This report effectively organizes data by using grouping techniques that make comparisons clear and the information easy to follow. The approach can be explained simply as follows ⬇️

1. Grouping by Purpose of Water Use
The report divides water usage into three categories—industrial, agricultural, and domestic. This structured arrangement allows for meaningful comparisons and a clear presentation of the data.

2. Grouping by Dominant Usage Trend
- One group includes regions such as South America, Central Asia, Africa, and Southeast Asia, where agriculture is the primary water consumer.
- Another group consists of regions like North America and Europe, where industrial use predominates.

3. Grouping by Regional Similarities
Instead of listing each region individually, the report groups regions with similar patterns together (for example, agriculture-dominant versus industry-dominant regions). This method reduces repetition and enhances readability.

4. Use of Percentage Ranges
In the agriculture-dominant group, percentage ranges for water use (71%–88%) are presented collectively rather than on a region-by-region basis. This approach condenses the data and prevents overcomplicating the report.

This simple ability to group information can save a lot of time and help you focus more on criteria other than Task Achievement.

And we wrote essays without ChatGPT, too.

There are many more horror stories like this, so maybe appreciate 2025 more, many of you are living your student life on a easy mode.

I always thought it was obvious, but I guess some people still don’t know the real purpose of a mock test. So, I will try to make it as clear as possible.

The most important aspect of a mock test is that it improves your test-taking skills—not just your English skills. When you attend a mock test, you go to a designated location and spend three hours completing reading, listening, and writing sections. This process not only builds your concentration and stamina but also simulates the real exam environment. You spend some time without your phone, as both mock tests and real exams require you to leave distractions behind. There’s no cheating and virtual assistance, which leaves you and your brain fighting for a satisfying result.

For those who still wonder why mock tests have become so popular, consider this: having strong English skills does not automatically translate into a high test score. I have met many students who excelled in English yet lacked effective test-taking skills. They approached the actual exam with overconfidence, only to score lower than expected because they were unprepared for the exam’s nuances or became too nervous under real exam conditions. This is precisely why mock tests are so valuable and increasingly important today.

And, as you probably realize, these mock tests are often 10–11 times cheaper than the real ones, so you don’t feel as bad if the score is lower than you expected. It's important for young people to understand that the abundance of extra services available today truly spoils them. If you studied IELTS in 2012, you would not have as many opportunities to prepare for your test effectively.

The pie charts compare the percentage of water allocated to three purposes, which are industrial, agricultural, and domestic. Percentages are provided for six different regions of the world. Overall, in four out of six regions, agricultural use is the most common, whereas in North America and Europe, the biggest proportion of water is used for industrial purposes.

As mentioned above, using water for farming purposes is the most common among four regions, with percentages ranging from 71% in South America to 88% in Central Asia. Proportions of water used for industries and houses in these regions are quite insignificant, with most of them under 10%. However, in South America, 19% of all water is distributed to domestic use, and one-tenth is utilized for industries.

In North America and Europe, the main way to use water is to provide it for industrial usage, with the former region reporting 48% and the latter reporting 53%. In both of these regions, using water for farming accounts for 39% and 33%, respectively.
