“Hazil kuni”ni nishonlamoqchi bo’lsang oldimga kelaver. Nima desang ham baribir senga ishonaman)

Jahongir Mo'ydinov dan repost

I like profs, who, up to even these days, still use chalk and blackboard. They are classic. So does their teaching and interactiveness.

Bilasanmi nima?

Balki biroz vaqtga telefoningni o'chirib, hamma tarmoqlar va texnikalardan uzilib, bir o'zing piyoda yurish uchun tabiat qo'yniga chiqsang, va atrofga yaxshiroq nazar tashlasang, balki tushunib yetarsan sen doimo nostalgiya qilib eslaydigan yoshliging seni tashlab ketmaganligini. Sen doimo qalbingda sog'inch bilan eslaydigan o'tmish aslida vaqt va zamon orqali emas, sening odatlaring va dunyo qarashing orqali o'zgarganini anglab yetasan.

Uy bu har doim ham to'rtta devor emas. Uy ba'zida dasturxon atrofidagi yig'in va Arafa kunidagi osh, kichkina ukalarning yangi qiliqlari uchun xursand bo'lish, kattalarning nasihatlari, sevimli insoningning moviy ko'zlaridagi quvonch hamdir.

Charlz Bukovskiy aytgandi "Ertalab seni hech kim uygʻotmasa yoki oqshom uyga kelishingni hech kim kutmasa va istagan ishingni qilsang, buning nomini erkinlik deysanmi yoki yolgʻizlik?"

Yaqinlaringizni gif/copy-paste xabarlar bilan tabriklaydigan odam bo’lmang.

Eng kamida ikki qator bo’lsada, samimiy o’zingizdan nimadir chiqarib yozing. Masalan, bunday:

Ramazon Hayiti muborak bo’lsin, do’stlar. Bu ulug’ kun atrofidagi xursandchilik va baxtli xotiralar sizga doimo hamroh bo’lsin. Ramazon oyida qalbingizga kirgan hotirjamlik va taskin bundan keyin ham umringizga mazmun qo’shishda, hayot yo’llaringizni bezashda davom etsin.

Xurmat bilan, Ibrohimjon

Ko'pincha, kitoblarning eng oxirgi sahifalarida muallifning o'z izohlari yozilgan bo'ladi. U yerda kitobning yozilish va yaratilish jarayoni haqida qisqacha gapirishadi. Bu kitobni chop etilishiga hissa qo'shgan insonlarni eslab o'tib, rahmat aytishadi: tahrirchilar, muharrirlar, nashriyot hodimlari, resurslar bo'yicha yordam berganlar, asarni yozishga undab, g'oya ulashganlar. Hamma hammani qator qilib yozib ketishadi.

Va oxirida esa, har doim, ota onalari yoki turmush o'rtoqlariga eng katta rahmatni aytishadi. Ularga bu kitobni bag'ishlaganliklarini, ularning qo'llab quvvatlashi va muhabbatisiz bu asar dunyoga hech qachon kelmagan bo'lishini aytishadi.

Shu holatning o'zigina oilaning inson hayotida qanchalik muhim o'rni borligini ko'rsatib beradi. Menimcha, oila va yaqin insonlarning muhimligini hech kimi yo'qlar, mehribonlik uyidagilar, yoki allaqachon yo'qotib bo'lganlar to'liqligicha tushuna oladi.

Oila hech qachon variant emas, oila doimo prioritet.

Baxt nima?

Ming bo‘lakka bo‘lib dunyoni
Tug‘ilgandan baxtni izlaymiz.
Qo‘llaridan tutib ro‘yoni
Atrofda baxt, baʼzan bilmaymiz!

Baxtlar bilan bezatilgan taxt,
Xudoimga yetsa bas zoring
Kimdir seni sog‘insa, shu Baxt,
Baxt aslida dunyoda boring!

Kimlarnidir Sevib, Sog‘inib
Intizor-la uni kutganing
Baxt aslida tomog‘ing bilan
Shu bir qultum suvni yutganing!

Hamma yerda Baxtlaring sochiq
Baxorlardan go‘zallik yiqqan,
Baxt emasmi? Ko‘zlaring ochiq?
Osmonga boq, ko‘kka oy chiqqan!

Senga yana nima yetmaydi?
Hattoki Baxt - yelib tolmoqlik
Hammaga ham nasib etmaydi
Tongda turib nafas Olmoqlik!!

Inson psixologiyasi shu.

U hech qachon biror ish uchun qoniqish hissini to’laligicha his qila olmaydi. Xohlagan narsasiga erishgan mahalda ham “qaniydi yaxshirog’i amalga oshsa edi” deb turadi.

Yoki, ko’zlagan maqsadiga erisha olmasa, jahli chiqib o’zini va xatolarini yomon ko’rib ketadi. Hayollar har doim yaxshi va eng zo’r ssenariylarni o’ylashga moslashgan — yanada ko’proq, yanada yaxshiroq, yanada tezroq, yanada chiroyliroq.

Men bu tendensiyani yaxshi yoki yomon ekanligi haqida nimadir deya olmayman. Insonni oldinga harakat qilishga undovchi hissiyotlarning borligi zarar emas albatta.

Ammo, biz nimadirga erishganimizda, yoki erisha olmaganimizda ham, yomon ssenariylar haqida o’ylab ko’rishimiz kerak, menimcha. Nega “bundan yaxshiroq bo’lishi mumkin edi” deymiz-u “bundan yomonrog’i bo’lishi mumkin edi” deb o’ylab ko’rmaymiz? Ehtimollar nazariyasi bizga millionlab ehtimolliklarni beradi, va ularning ichida hozirgidan battar bo’lib tugaydigan holatlar ham talaygina.

Shu haqida o’ylab ko’rishim kerak. Balki, yashash ham keyin osonlashib qolar…

Bundan roppa rosa uch yil oldin, aynan shu 24-mart kuni kanalimni yaratgandim.

3 yosh muborak bo’lsin! Bu blog men bilan parallel ravishda o’sib bordi. Shakllandi. Toblandi. Va hozirgi holiga keldi.

Men egalik qiladigan eng qimmatli intellektual mulkim shu. Balki mendagi yagona intellektual mulk shu hamdir. Boshqa arzirli nimadir yaratganimni eslay olmayman. Va bu blogni million dollarga ham alishmagan bo’lardim. Insonning o’z original fikrichalik qimmatli buyumi bo’lmasa kerak.

Oldingi yozganlarimni qarasam o’tmishimni ko’raman. Ba’zi joylarini kulib, b’azi joylarini yig’lab o’qiyman. Ikki yil oldin qanchalik sayoz fikrlaganimni ko’rib o’zimga istehzolar aytaman).

Birinchi bor kanal ochilganda hali yozmasdim. Bu jarayon, taxminan, 2022-yil noyabr oylarida boshlangan. Kimlargadir havas qilib, blog yoza boshladim. Keyin doimiy yozadigan bo’ldim. Shu tufayli yozuvchilik va adabiyotga bo’lgan muhabbatimni topdim.

Ex, gapirsam gap ko’p. Ammo, hozir ishdaman. Yana qayta kelaman. Axir, tug’ilgan kunni nishonlash kerakku)

I wish to have another full life of existence to read all the great books and watch all the goated movies. I know even if there was such an unrealistic opportunity on my hands, it wouldn’t be enough to finish all.

However, I like to think of that, in another life, I was raised in the orphanage, a little unknown skinny boy, and grew up to be reading all the classic books and reflecting his thoughts on a yellowish old diary. When he watched Harry Potter movies, visual representation of his favorite books, he discovered the love for screen and acting — movies. He would later became a famous screenwriter, who wrote numerous screenplays and directed movies.

Or else, let’s assume for the sake of creativity, there are infinitely parallel universes out there. In one of them, I was called with the same name, the same family, and the same social background. However, my mom, instead of being a literature teacher, used to work as an editor for local publication company. She usually brought her work assignments home to complete editing soon-to-be-published books. So, before the world is aware of author’s works, he first read the drafts and immersed in novels, stories, and poems. He could even spoil the books years behind. He continued reading both - the ones written before him and the ones crafted after him. And one day, he would sit down to write his own.

Yeah, that would be nice.

Shunday qo‘shiq va taronalar borki, ular boshqalar kabi dunyoga kelmagan — notalari chop etilmagan, yozib olinmagan va jamoatchilikka taqdim etilmagan. Ular shunchaki boshqa bir asarning ajralmas qismiga aylanishgan. Ammo ularning betakrorligi va qimmati bu bilan kamayib qolmagan — aksincha, baʼzida o‘sha asarlarga ushbu qisqagina va boshqa yerlardan topib bo‘lmaydigan kuy va taronalari uchun ham qayta-qayta yuzlanamiz.

Ramadan.
Iftar.
Navruz.
Reuniting with old gold friends after a very long time and getting acquainted with new amazing individuals.

Huge thanks to Dono for the invitation and gathering us all there. It is the first time since the beginning of Ramadan that I really feel like I am in this holy month (she later took me to the mosque, will write about it in the next post).

We talked about many things: our lives in Korea, how we have navigated so far, our wildest experiences, summer plans, uni life and many more. There was something really special about these guys. Not like my every day encounters at work and university. Today was such a blessing day because of this.

I hope we will have more meet-ups in the future too.

The most articulated description of how AI is affecting our thinking and changing the way we write.

Bookish dan repost
The most dangerous thing about using AI for idea generation or writing is the fact that it can be very limiting. It gives you a list of five options or writes you an analysis or a text, and when you read it, you convince yourself that if you had written on the topic yourself, you would say the exact same thing. But you did not, so you don't know if you would have had the same ideas.

When you don't develop an idea in your head well enough or you don't have a strong enough understanding of whatever it is you are thinking about, and you consult AI before you allow the thought to finish forming, you risk being shoved into a box. Whatever the AI told you will be what you will see. It's like visual illusions, once you are told what is hiding in the image, you cannot unsee it anymore, to the point that sometimes you can't even see the first image you saw when you first set your eyes on it.

I fear that is what AI is doing to most of us. When we have an academic paper to write and we give ChatGPT a prompt and it gives us the essay, we read and internalize it, and somehow in the back of our brain we convince ourselves that it was our idea, those are our words, our thoughts. But they are not. They could have been if we had written that paper ourselves, but now we will never know because our mind has already been biased. We have already swallowed the content AI wrote and assimilated it into our thinking system.

So we ultimately get stuck in this infinity loop of preexisting ideas, regurgitating facts that are not our own and that we didn't even write. We lose our power of individual, creative, nuanced thinking. We are moving towards homogeneity, and not in a good way.

Perhaps the most effective approach is to use AI more as a responsive collaborator than as a first-draft generator, consulting it after we've developed our own initial thoughts, using it to challenge our assumptions rather than to form them.

"Doridan puliz oshib qolsa, marojna oberasiz-a aya?"

Bugun eshitgan eng ta’sirli gapim shu bo’ldi.

Ko’chada, avtobusda, metroda yosh bolalarni ko’rsangiz o’zingizda boridan, kichkina bo’lsayam nimadir berib qo’yavering: ruchka, kichkina qant yoki snack. O’sha yosh bolalar keyin katta bo’lganda yosh bolalarni qidirib shu ishni qaytaradigan bo’lishadi. Inson mehrni uyidan tashqarida ham his qilishni boshlaganda, dunyoda yaxshilik borligiga ishona boshlaydi, va o’zi ham o’shanday insonlardan biri bo’lishga harakat qiladi.

15-iyul, 2024-yil. Eski qaydlardan.

Figurative language

1. Metaphor
A metaphor is a figure of speech that directly compares two unrelated things by stating that one is the other. Metaphors can be objects, actions, or ideas that symbolize something else.

Structure:
X is Y

She is the sun.
In Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, Romeo uses the metaphor "Juliet is the sun" to express his intense love and adoration for her, highlighting her beauty and the way she brightens his world.

Examples of Metaphors:
Work today was a nightmare!
Their bedroom is a pigsty.
The footballer Mohamed Salah is a machine.

2. Simile
A simile is similar to a metaphor, but it uses the words "like" and "as" to make a comparison.

Examples:
Metaphor: When I wake up in the morning, I’m a zombie.
Simile: When I wake up in the morning, I’m as slow as a zombie.
It’s like taking candy from a baby.

3. Personification
Personification is a figure of speech that gives human qualities or characteristics to inanimate objects or animals.

Examples:
The wind whispered secrets through the trees.
The moon smiled down on the earth.

4. Hyperbole
An exaggeration used for emphasis or effect.

Example:
She's old as the the hills.
I was dying out of laughter.

5. Onomatopeia:
Words that imitate the sounds of the things they describe

Example:
The sheep went, "Baa."
The best part about the music class is that you can bang on the drum.

6. Oxymoron
A combination of contradictory words.

Example:
Sad smile: combines "sad" and "smile".
Crash landing; combines "crash" and "landing".

7. Alliteration
The repetition of the same constant sound at the beginning of the words.

Example:
Donald Duck
Harry hurried home to watch football on TV.
