To be successful at anything, the truth is you don’t have to be special, you just have to be what other people aren’t, consistent, determined and willing to work for it.

This bar graph compares the percentage of daily internet use by 5 various age groups in four different years in the UK. Overall, over the span all age groups started to use internet daily more. While the percentage of 16-24 age group was consistently the highest of others, the elderly showed the opposite.

In 2003, youngsters had by far the biggest percentage of all, showing a massive 80%. In the next two years, this figure experienced a noticeable rise by almost 10, peaking at a bit lower than 90%, which was followed by a small drop in the next year to ultimate 85%. At the beginning, regarding the elderly, a small minority of them used the internet every day, having the smallest percentage of all. However, in following two years, there was a huge increase in the figure of 65+ from almost 5% in 2003 to 20% in 2005, which was followed by a 2% decrease in the next year.

When adults’ figure aged 25-44 is concerned, they had a high proportion of daily internet use in all 4 years. While the initial figure was 70%, there was a gradual rise in this figure to final 80%. A similar increasing trend was observed in the percentage of 55-64 age group which experienced a continual increase from an initial 30% to a final 55%.

Okay, honestly, there are lots of things that have really special and important role in my life. And I do really think that everyone would think of oxygen when this question is asked, but the thing that I now will have problems to live with out, would actually be one of the greatest inventions of the 20th century internet. Because I do really believe and think that a lot of things are really connected to the internet in my life. Be it The studies that I have at University because I do really rely on that especially when it comes to the different assignments, that I'm given from the teachers and Headmasters at our University. And I really need that a lot on a daily basis. Besides that, I really need that at my work because without the help of the internet I cannot really conduct the lessons well. It really helps me to do the lessons and conduct lessons in an interesting way. Besides that, I really need that on a daily basis so that I can get entertained. Because sometimes there can be some moments when I get really bored. So that's why in this types of situations. It really helps me to get some mood or energy from. As I watch some movies or reels on Instagram or Tik-Tok. And the thing that makes internet really important in my life is my friends too. Because I have got a lot of friends who live abroad and in foreign countries, in order to stay in touch with them. I really need that because I really need the type of platforms or social media apps such as Instagram and Skype, so that I can have some video or messages with them and share the latest news that we have in our lives and stay in touch with them, as we had the tight relationship as they lived in Uzbekistan.




Topic: Many people are working longer than others.
Why is it a case ? What are the disadvantages of it ?

Hard work has always been an essential tool in attaining success. Thus, whether at work or in education, people toil for longer hours by doing more workload. Reasons for why people work harder vary from commitment to drive, and I do not necessarily think it is always advantageous because of possible dangers to people’s health and social interactions.

There are two understandable reasons why people try harder than others. Firstly, the prime motive of hard workers is greater accomplishment. They tend to be ambitious by nature; therefore, they work relentlessly to realize their aims. Be it in personal life or financial target, they strive for better and favourable outcomes resulted from their efforts, which bring them personal fulfilment. Secondly, another explanation for this can be pure love of work. Hard workers are often driven by their passion for their tasks and enjoy the process, they see meaning in toiling for long hours, and unlike others who see their work or studies as a chore, they find it quite satisfying.

Even though the reasons for pushing oneself harder than others are justifiable, I do not think that constantly working harder is a good idea. As too much work can be detrimental for people’s overall health. Excessive workload usually leads to physical and mental exhaustion, which will consequently cause serious burnouts. Feeling this may lead to severe consequences such as chronic stress and depression. Moreover, working for long hours might have its negative effect on one’s social life as it means less time spent with loved ones (family and friends), and this, in turn, can fracture the personal relationship between them. This poorer community engagement can create an unstable emotional and mental state, which can be accompanied by feelings of loneliness.

To conclude, personal ambition and passion for work are two reasons why some students and employees dedicate more time to their studies and work, toiling longer than their counterparts do. I, however, do not consider it is positive, since it will eventually cause poor health and social life.

Speaking part 2: phone call.

Well, honestly, I've got my same phone number for the last seven years, if I'm not mistaken, which means I've got a lot of contacts in it. And on a daily basis, I receive different types of calls from my contacts and the people whom I don't know.

And the most memorable phone call I've ever received happened recently, actually. I was sitting in our office, it was a normal day, and suddenly I received a phone call from an unknown number. Usually, I don't really pick it up, but I decided to do that at that time. And when I answered that call, I was somehow surprised, because it was the host of a really famous show in our country called ‘OMAD show’. And this is the type of show that is the copy of ‘поле чудес’ in Russia. This is the show where people can have opportunity for winning different types of gifts, and the best gift here is the car. And the host was saying that how lucky I was, and he congratulated me, I was really lucky that I was chosen from thousands of people. And for a while, I started to somehow believe for that, but when different type of people started to laugh at the background,

I realized that I was pranked by my friends. And I somehow started to feel embarrassed, because I really believed that I was chosen by this show. And since then, I started to somehow have trust issues although I haven't had this type of phone call from other people.
